Admission Requirements  입학에 필요한 것

Tenby Schools shall consider for admission any student who is at least three years old (Early Years) and not older than eighteen years old (for Year 12) on September 1st (for Tenby International School in Ipoh, Penang, Setia Eco Park and Miri) or January 1st (for Sekolah Tenby/Sekolah Sri Tenby and Tenby International School Setia Eco Gardens of any academic year. Tenby Schools are open to all students whose educational needs can be met within the provision of the schools.

텐비 스쿨은 만 3세부터 18세까지의 학생들과 교육을 필요로 하는 학생들은 누구나 입학할 수 있다.

Admission into a Tenby Schools and placement in classes, providing space is available, is based on successful completion of all application procedures, submission of required documentation and successful completion of an admissions test (appropriate to the year/form level).

텐비 스쿨의 입학은  그 학년에 자리가 있고, 모든 서류와 테스트에 합격하여야 한다.

Parents will need to attach the application fee upon filling the Application for Admission Form

부모님들은 신청서와 함께 신청비도 지불해야 한다.

After assessment (with the approval of the School Principal), parents will be informed of the school’s decision to offer a place at Tenby Schools; a letter of offer and the acceptance form will be issued to parents.

교장선생님의 입학 허가가 나면 부모님들은 학교의 통보 즉, 입학허가서를 받게 된다

Having been given an offer of a place, the family should confirm‎ acceptance and pay the Registration Fee, Deposit (interest free) and the Term Fees due. Upon receipt the student’s place will be secure.

입학허가가 되면 등록비, 데포짓, 학비등을 스케줄에 따라 지불하면 된다.

Admissions Testing 입학을 위한 테스트

We are non-selective and use the GL Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) as a means of assessing potential, in order to best decide whether our schools will be able to meet a student’s educational needs.

우리는 구분없이 GL CAT4를 실시하며 교육적 가능성을 갖은 학생들을 선택하게 된다.

CAT4 assesses a student's ability to reason with and manipulate different types of material through a series of verbal, non-verbal, quantitative and spatial ability tasks.  Three online tests are taken during the assessment period and in order to be considered for a place, prospective students will be expected to demonstrate they have at least average potential in these tests.  Students may be invited in to the school for an additional interview and/or asked to provide further evidence of their aptitude in such areas as English Language and Bahasa Malaysia (Private Malaysian curriculum schools), before a final decision is made.  Students will sit the test applicable to the year group appropriate for their age.

There are three possible outcomes: 세가지 가능한 결론

• Successful: A place is offered at the school.  자리가 있다면 입학이 가능하다.
• Unsuccessful: The family will be notified within ten days, to allow for alternative arrangement to be made.  Students who fall into this category may reapply the following year. 10일 안에 가부가 결정되어 부모님께 통보가 갈 것이다.
• Conditional: A place is offered on a conditional basis with specific terms and conditions set, including a review date, mutually agreed by both the school and parents. 조건부로 입학이 가능하기도 하다.

Re-Admission of Students  재 입학하는 학생들

• Tenby Schools shall not accept any student who was asked to leave another Tenby Schools for behavioural reasons.  행동이 불량한 학생으로 학교를 그만둔 학생은 텐비의 어떠한 학교에서 입학을 불허한다.

Late Admission 늦은 입학

• Students will not be offered a place in the final year of the IGCSE/SPM course (Year 11/Form 5) unless they have been studying the same course in a similar organisation.  11학년에 입학하는 학생들은 유사 기관에서  지속적으로 같은 코스를 공부한 경험이 있어야 입학이 가능하다.
• Students will not be offered a place in the final year of the A Level (Year 13) unless they have been studying the same course in a similar organisation. 13학년의 A Level은 입학이 불가능하며 만약 입학을 한다면 A Level과 같은 과목을 유사기관에서 공부한 학생이어야만 한다.

Mid-Year Admissions  학기 중간에 입학

• Students relocating to Malaysia may apply at any time of year following the normal application procedures.  보통의 입학 과정을 거친다면 언제든지 입학이 가능하다.
• Sometimes students may need mid-year admittance. In such cases, we will admit the student if they have passed the required CAT4 tests, submitted completed applications and if places are available.  학기 중간에 입학할 경우는 CAT4 tests에 통과하여야 하고  서류를 완벽하게 갖추어 지원하며 자리가 있어야 한다.
• If places become vacant during the year, we will identify and contact parents on the waiting list.  자리가 있으면 웨이팅 순서대로 부모님들에게 연락하게 될 것이다.

Acceptance of Records from other schools 타학교의 성적들

• Records carry the official logo and signature of the school the student attended.  타학교에 다닌 학생들은 그 학교의 공식 로고와 서명이 있는 성적표를 제출해야 한다.
• The records are provided by a school either recognised by an accrediting agency or a governmental body.
• The records are complete in terms of information provided for the entire previous year in which the student attended school.

Assignment of Students to Classes  학생들의 연구과제

• School Principals are responsible for assigning students to the various classes. Students will not be assigned according to parent and/or student requests.
• Students may also be placed in a year below their chronological age if it is viewed by the school that their educational needs would be better served at this level.

Special Needs and Learning Support Students

• We will only admit students with special and/or learning support needs if the student is able to access the curriculum on offer with limited assistance. Each case will be considered on an individual basis.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

• Support will be provided in all our schools wherever possible and students will be monitored in terms of their progress in English. Parents are expected to support the development of English outside of the school.

Return of Admissions Fees

• Tenby Schools will not refund any fees paid for admissions application and testing.
