Here is Pascale’s open letter to Canada, the United States of America and the rest of the world:
‘’Canada is not a real country ‘’, Jean Chrétien, former Prime Minister of Canada cheerfully announced one time.
What does it take to feel a sense of belonging to a country ? Is it nationalism , an allegiance to a flag, to a motto, an ideology perhaps? or a belief in a particular political party?
I preface this by saying I have never been a big fan of nationalism in general, seeing it altogether as a sort of plague that leads to all manner of things and none of them good. I don’t have a patriotic bone in my body, not in any regular sense of the meaning. I freely confess I never felt pride at seeing the Canadian flag , not even during the blandly named Canada Day. I am indifferent to its anthem ‘O Canada’ as well as the milquetoast plodding sounds of ‘God save the Queen’. I have always preferred the imaginative name of Bastille day and the rousing sounds of Marseillaise although ultimately it celebrates blood , gore and ridiculous return to royalty in the end, so all for naught. The Russian anthem is stirring but I’m not Russian. None of these artifices have touched me thus far. Politics have never interested me either, a pissing contest of lies, subterfuges and false promises destined to enrich those in power by the very self-serving laws they create.
At one point in life , whim and destiny led me inexplicably to farming . The land chose me, I say or Creator or both. I wasn’t particularly successful either and eventually I had to give it up but I learned something during my farming days I could have never learned any other way: to love the land and through it , understand the politics and economy of agriculture in a different way than the newspapers and politicians explain it. Everyone eats. Everyone.
I became intimate with every slope, every hill of every field, where the land curved and sloped, where it rose, which spots stayed wet and mushy even the driest of summers, so wet that I could still sink the wheels of my tractor then have to call for help to get towed out ( you only go there once) . The land showed me up and made a fool of me and I loved her for it. The land knew what I didn’t: everything . My tractor and I were as one. Like a modern day centaur , I deftly manoeuvered over hill and dale, ploughing and cultivating , and when the ground was ready, and a dry and a gentle wind blew then seeding began. Like real medicine, agriculture is an art, more so than it is a science.
Like a mother I watched the seedlings sprout, anxiously waiting for rain , worrying if there was too much. I felt joy witnessing the first heads of grain appear and develop. Driving a tractor, you feel an intense physical connection to the earth which is counter-ntuitive. All day long, you drive slowly and have ample time to look at the sky, the birds , observe the brilliant wings of the dragon flies that land on your steering wheel . Later, comes the harvest and the immense satisfaction of seeing the thousands of fat little seed heads emptying out from the combine bin into a transport truck that would then take the earth’s gift to be hulled and milled into flour. Flour that is then turned into bread that nourishes .
The Earth, our mother who gives us life, nourishes us and the sky, our father gives us breath. During the past two years, compliant, docile Canadians have hibernated and laid low. They have meekly and dutifully obeyed and believed almost every directive, stayed in confinement, kept their mouths shut and their faces out of sight. They breathed in their own CO2 and made their children do the same. IQ’s have gone down. People have been threatened and coerced into taking injections, brainwashed and been lied to by both the media and their governments, both federal and provincial.
The law has been cast aside and disregarded by the feds, the provinces, the judiciary and the police forces. Illegal mask mandates, lockdowns, curfews, suspensions without pay and firings- all performed illegally. Fines imposed on businesses. All illegal-the whole operation has been illegal and immoral from day one- yet no one says a thing and the legacy media hides it all and collaborates with the oppressors, those who oppose are fired , shamed and ridiculed in the press . The PM has resorted to name calling and hate speech. The Opposition opposes nothing. The US constitution is in shreds and the Canadian Charter and of Rights and Freedoms an illusion of what used to make us proud. It no longer applies. Our democracy has been bought and co-opted by foreign forces operating from within.
Those who have somehow managed to stay sane and hang on to reality have wondered how it is that who can’t see can’t see. How can you not? we wonder but they don’t . It’s not a mystery , not really, it’s mass hypnosis through 24/7 repetition on TV and the radio and the print media.
But you can only poke a hibernating bear so many times before a great paw with claws swats you down.
We have been hoping and waiting for something to rally us , to gather us to move us out of this mess. We didn’t know whom or what. Was it a person or a movement ? An ideology or a political party ? None of the above as it turns out. Kudos to all who have contributed, protested, marched, written, made videos, created websites and channels, given conferences, been fired for speaking out, drawn funny cartoons , made great memes and led by example, you will still be needed.
There was nothing seemingly to unify a country this size. How do you unite a country that is impossibly big ? A country so vast it stretches between two oceans and a sea, a country made up of a few million people who have seemingly nothing in common and who endlessly criticise each other. Albertans are like this , Maritimers are like that, Quebecers are always kvetching … Well, normally they do, they did , it kept us in check, but they’ve been remarkably compliant and quiet like the rest of us but they were the first in Canada to be silenced and hammered into submission by their Fürher and his clownish sidekicks.
Today, January 27, I met with dozens of other people on a bridge in the aptly named Port Hope , on top of the 401 in the biting wind, freezing cold and snow. We waved flags, we were cheerful, we belonged. Placards read FREEDOM! , Take YOUR country back and many other such slogans, some were rude but funny ! There was love and camaraderie. Good feelings. We waved hands and flags at the truckers going by who honked their loud horns or beamed lights . They too were chuffed and cheered by us. There were motorists as well who were wondering who we were and why and what we were standing on a bridge smiling and waving at them . Perhaps we caused a spark of curiosity in them . We hope so. It was the first time in my life I have ever waved a Canadian flag . Today it wasn’t an empty and artificial symbol of patriotism it was, the symbol of our hope , a new leaf. Our lives have been decimated the world over and our souls have been trampled upon. Our hopes dashed and our bodies desecrated. We wave to get back and reclaim our humanity.
Our connection to our country doesn’t stem from an ideology: it comes from the wide open spaces and the freedom that they represent. That is the profound truth that unites every one of us, Canadian and American . This is what the truckers, who love freedom, and the road and independence have shown us so clearly and so viscerally . We live on the same land , the same continent and we are all connected through this majestic geography of ours. Our prairies, our oceans, our magnificent great lakes, our boreal forests, our deserts, our mountain ranges , our tundra and ice floes. We are all brothers and sisters of the same earth.
The land, this land is what unites us, that is how and why we cannot be defeated. The parasite class that rules us and went from ruling us more or less gently, to imposing upon us, then imposing more, then finally controlling us body and soul. Imposing loneliness, isolation and lack of sunshine, that too is part of their plan. They understand nothing except money, control and their own selfish desires.
They cannot create or invent, they cannot feel, they have no understanding of the majesty of nature or the awe of a golden sunset or the mystery of a starry night. Everything is utilitarian to the shadow rulers and their front men puppets, a means to an end , especially us. Our stories, our culture is fodder for cash and manipulation. Whatever they claim to protect, they seek in fact to destroy.
We are witnessing the birth of a revolution. We are connecting to each other, we are connecting back to the earth and the sky even if it isn't conscious yet in our minds, it is in our spirits and imaginations, they are all reacting. We humans have souls that are incorruptible. Our true nature is pure and divine. We need to remember that and keep that flame alive.
We have the divine spark.
The truckers have shown us that we are united across this great continent of ours and that we will not cave in , we will reclaim ourselves and what is rightfully ours. How will be accomplished, I don’t know, when I don’t know either, however it will happen . We will win , we will defeat these forces. Our country is ours.
The technocrats who seek to appropriate our bodies and souls and deprive us of our God given freedoms can and will be stopped . They cannot compete with the divine. They think they have already won, all their plans already in place, the endless meds, the digital money, the chip under the skin. None of it can work without our consent. Reclaim yourself and your country, the truckers have shown us the way.
Canada IS a real country . Have faith in Creator , in yourselves and in each other.
