교통 체증, 교통비

"교통" can't always be translated as "traffic." "Traffic" is the word used to refer to actual vehicles on the road.

But for means, method or ease of getting from one place to another you use "transport," "transportation" or "travel." You say "traffic jam"(교통 체증) because you are referring to actual cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, etc. on the road. But you say "public transport" (대중 교통) since that is a means to get from one place to another. You can't translate "교통이 편해요" as "The traffic is convenient." You can use such expressions as "It's easy to get to" or "It's in a convenient location."

"교통"을 항상 "traffic"으로 번역하면 안 된다. "Traffic"은 탈 것(차량)을 의미하는 단어이다. 하지만 한곳에서 다른 곳으로 이동하는 수단 또는 방법을 나타내려면 "transport," "transportation" 또는 "travel"을 사용한다. "교통 체증"은 실제 자동차, 밴, 트럭, 오토바이들을 말하는 것이기 때문에 "traffic jam"이라고 한다. 하지만 "대중 교통"은 "public transport"라고 하는데 이것은 한 곳에서 다른 곳으로 이동하는 수단을 뜻하기 때문이다. "교통이 편해요"를 "The traffic is convenient"라고 번역하면 안 된다. "It's easy to get to"나 "It's in a convenient location"과 같은 표현을 사용하면 된다.
