파주시는 주민 주도 ‘접경지역 마을활력사업’을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다. 올해 경기도에서 추진하는 접경지역 주민자생적 마을활력사업은 1단계 주민역량 강화, 2단계 사업기반 구축 및 마을종합개발 순으로 단계별로 추진하며, 1단계 주민역량 강화사업 결과를 바탕으로 2단계 사업 추진 대상지를 선정한다.

시는 지난해 11월 마을활력사업 1단계인 주민역량 강화사업에 선정돼, 올해 초부터 주민워크숍, 견학, 교육 등을 진행했으며, 지난 24일에는 1단계 주민역량 강화사업의 소규모 사업을 실시했다. 이날 실시한 소규모 사업은 ‘봉일천 주막 미리보기’를 주제로 진행됐으며, 봉일천 주막 재현을 위한 막걸리 품평회, 공릉 장터국밥 복원을 위한 안주 품평회, 음악공연, 조지훈 시인의 시 낭송회 및 문예작품 공모전 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 진행됐다.
