3. 타락 인류를 구원하기 위한 최초의 기점은 가정

본향을 추구해 가는 인간의 힘이 역사 전체와 모든 환경에 영향을 미칠 수 있고 행복의 터전을 이루는 동기가 돼야 합니다. 그러한 인간의 힘의 기반이 되는 가정이 어디에 이루어질 것이냐? 오늘날 모든 종교는 사회에 공적인 이익을 주기 전에 가정에 공익이 되는 기틀을 먼저 마련해야 합니다. 왜냐하면 종교가 사회에 공익이 되는 기틀을 세웠다 하더라도 그 사회를 이루고 있는 가정의 기틀이 틀어지게 될 때는 사회의 터전도 무너지고 말기 때문입니다.

이런 점에서 볼 때 하나님이 타락한 인류를 구원하시기 위한 최초의 기점은 어디일 것이냐? 어떠한 문명을 자랑하는 특정한 국가이겠습니까? 아닙니다. 사회의 어떠한 조직인 이상적인 조직이라 해서 그것을 중심으로 하겠습니까? 아닙니다. 그러면 천재적인 소질을 가진 어떠한 개인을 중심으로 하겠습니까? 아닙니다. 이 모든 것을 초월할 수 있는 하나의 기점이 참된 가정이라는 것을 여러분은 알아야겠습니다. 그러므로 오늘날 인간은 그런 가정의 문을 통과한 자격을 갖추어 승리자의 팻말을 들고 세계를 향할 수 있는 사람이 되어야 합니다. 그러한 주의와 사상을 대할 수 있는 개체들이 나와야 합니다.

그러면 어찌하여 불교와 천주교에서는 독신생활을 강조해 왔겠습니까? 독신주의가 진정으로 인간 행복의 터전이라고 말할 수 있습니까? 아닙니다. 그것은 어떤 종교나 주의도 참된 행복의 근원이 어디에 있는가 하는 것을 제시해 주지 못했기 때문에 독신생활을 하면서 장차 나타날 순결하고 올바른 가정을 기약해 온 것입니다.

작금에 제기되고 있는 천주교 내의 심각한 문제는 13세기 이후 계속돼 왔던 독신주의에 대한 근본적인 재고를 말하는 것입니다. 하나님의 뜻은 참된 남자와 참된 여자가 이루는 참된 가정을 통하여 이뤄지게 되어 있습니다. 성직자들이 앞장서서 이상가정을 이루어 본을 보이는 것은 당연한 일입니다.

오늘날 미국뿐만 아니라 전 세계는 청소년의 탈선과 타락이 건강한 사회를 위협하고 있습니다. 세계는 인간의 힘과 인간의 사랑으로는 수습할 수 없는 종말적인 상황에 도달했다는 것입니다. 그러기에 반드시 새로운 운동이 벌어져야 합니다. 그릇된 것을 청산해 버리고 본래의 기준으로 출발해야 합니다.

그런 의미에서 역사는 본연의 이상세계를 향하여 낡은 것을 청산하고 새로운 것을 재창조해 가는 재창조 복귀섭리역사인 것입니다. 그러니 옛것과 새것이 부딪치는 것입니다. 지금까지 가정을 개인들이 아무렇게나 세웠지만 앞으로는 그렇게 세워서는 안 됩니다. 그러한 시대에 우리가 서 있는 것입니다.

여러 종교의 창시자 가운데서 예수님은 특별히 가정에 관하여 심각한 말씀을 많이 하셨습니다. 예수님은 하나님을 어떤 분이라고 했습니까? 그는 ‘하나님은 내 아버지이시다.’라고 말씀하셨습니다. 창조주 하나님과 인간의 관계를 부모와 자식의 인연이라고 설파한 것입니다. 나아가 자신이 하나님의 독생자라고 했습니다. 이것은 예수님이 하나님의 첫째 아들이자 외아들이라는 것입니다.

하나님이 사랑의 본체라면 인간과는 부자의 관계일 수밖에 없을 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 우리 인간과 창조주와의 관계는 단순한 조물주와 피조물의 관계를 뛰어넘어 참된 사랑, 참된 생명, 참된 혈통으로 연결된 관계인 것입니다.

3. 堕落した人類を救うための最初の起点は家庭

本郷を追求していく人間の力が、歴史全体とすべての環境に影響を及ぼすことができ、幸福の土台を築く動機にならなければなりません。そのような人間の力の基盤となる家庭が、どこに築かれるのでしょうか。今日、すべての宗教は、社会に公的な利益をもたらす前に、家庭に公益となる基盤をまず整えなければなりません。なぜなら、宗教が社会に公益となる業績を立てたとしても、その社会を形成している家庭の基盤が歪むときには、社会の土台も崩れてしまうからです。
 
このような点から見るとき、神様が堕落した人類をお救いになるための最初の起点とはどこなのでしょうか。ある文明を誇る特定の国家でしょうか。違います。社会のある組織が理想的な組織だからといって、それを中心にするのでしょうか。違います。それでは、天才的な素質をもったある個人を中心にするのでしょうか。違います。これらすべてのものを超越できる一つの起点が真の家庭であるということを、皆様は知らなければなりません。ですから、今日、人間はそのような家庭の門を通過した資格を備え、勝利者の称号を掲げて世界に向かっていける人にならなければなりません。そのような主義と思想に応ずることのできる個体が現れなければならないのです。

 それでは、どうして仏教とカトリックでは独身生活を強調してきたのでしょうか。独身主義が人間の幸福の土台であると本当に言えるでしょうか。違います。それは、どのような宗教や主義も、真の幸福の根源がどこにあるかということを提示してあげなかったために、独身生活をしながら、今後現れる純潔で正しい家庭を約束してきたのです。
 
昨今、提起されているカトリック内の深刻な問題は、十三世紀以降、継続されてきた独身主義に対する根本的な再考を意味するのです。神様のみ旨は、真の男性と真の女性が形成する真の家庭を通して成し遂げられるようになっています。聖職者たちが先頭に立ち、理想家庭を築いて手本を見せるのは、当然のことです。
 
今日、アメリカだけでなく全世界において、青少年の脱線と堕落は健全な社会を脅かしています。世界は、人間の努力と人間愛では収拾できない終末的な状況に到達したというのです。ですから、必ず新しい運動が起こらなければなりません。誤ったことを清算してしまい、本来の基準で出発しなければなりません。
 
そのような意味で、歴史とは本然の理想世界に向かって古いものを清算し、新しいものを再創造していく再創造復帰摂理歴史です。ですから、古いものと新しいものがぶつかるのです。今まで、個人が家庭を好きなように立ててきましたが、これからはそのように立ててはいけません。そのような時代に私たちは立っているのです。
 
多くの宗教の創始者の中で、イエス様は、特に家庭に関して深刻なみ言を多く語られました。イエス様は、神様をどのような方だとおっしゃいましたか。「神様は私の父であられる」とおっしゃったのです。創造主である神様と人間の関係を、父母と子女の関係であると説いたのです。さらに、自分は神様のひとり子だと言いました。これは、イエス様が神様の最初の息子であり、一人息子であるということです。
 
神様が愛の本体であるとすれば、人間とは父子の関係とならざるを得ません。ですから、私たち人間と創造主の関係は、単純な造物主と被造物の関係を飛び越え、真の愛、真の生命、真の血統によって連結された関係となるのです。

3. The starting point of saving fallen humanity is the family

The driving force behind human beings’ search for the original homeland has to become the motive that can influence history in its entirety and all environments, and the motive that can also pave the way for happiness. Where would the family, which is the foundation for that driving force of human beings, be formed? Today’s religions must prepare the basis through which they can benefit the family before they can publicly benefit the society. This is because even if a religion has made contributions for the public good, if the basis of the families that make up this society breaks down, the foundation of society also will break down. 

In this regard, what would be the starting point for God to save fallen humanity? Would it be a specific nation that boasts of having a certain civilization? No, it wouldn’t. If there is a certain organization in a society that is considered to be ideal, would it serve as the center? No, it would not. Then would that starting point be centered on a certain individual with the qualities of a genius? No, it would not. You have to know that the one starting point that can transcend all these things is the true family. Therefore, the people of today need to become those who can pass through the door of such a family and thus win the qualification to hold high the banner of the victor and head out into the world. Individuals who can present such a philosophy and teaching have to come forward. 

Then why have Buddhism and Catholicism continued to emphasize leading a celibate life? Can celibacy truly be the basis for human happiness? No, it cannot. The reason for that is because no religion or philosophy has been able to clarify where the origin of true happiness lies. Therefore people needed to lead a celibate life in anticipation of the pure and righteous family that would eventually appear. 

The serious problems being brought up nowadays within Catholicism signify the need to fundamentally reconsider celibacy, practiced since the thirteenth century. God’s Will is to be fulfilled through a true family formed by a true man and a true woman. Therefore, it is a matter of course for the clergy to take the lead in forming ideal families and thus set an example before others. 

Today in the United States and in the entire world the deviation and degradation of young people is threatening healthy societies. The world has reached a state where it is almost at its end, and human power and human love cannot bring it under control. Therefore, a new movement needs to arise at all costs. All that is wrong needs to be done away with, and we need to make a new beginning based on the original standard. 

In this respect, history is the history of re-creation and the providence of restoration in which all that is old is done away with and new things are recreated in order to head toward the original, ideal world. This is why the old and the new are clashing. Until now, individuals formed families in whatever way they liked, but they cannot do so any longer. Such is the age we are in now. 

Among the founders of the different religions, Jesus in particular often spoke quite seriously about the family. Who did Jesus say that God was? He called God his Father. He revealed that the relationship between God the Creator and humankind is the relationship of parent and child. Furthermore, he said that he was the only begotten Son of God. This means that Jesus is God’s first son and at the same time His only son. 

If God is the Original Being of love, He is in a relationship of Parent to humankind. That is why the relationship between human beings and the Creator is one that goes beyond the simple relationship between the Creator and the created, for it is a relationship connected through true love, true life and true lineage.
