Chaosphere는 스웨덴 메탈 밴드 Meshuggah의 대표적인 앨범 중 하나로, 커버 아트 역시 음악만큼이나 강렬하고 난해한 분위기를 담고 있어요.

커버를 보면 전체적으로 **어둡고 차가운 금속성 색감(회색, 검정, 청색)**이 중심을 이루고 있습니다. 중심에는 인간의 형상을 연상시키는 기계적이고 왜곡된 존재가 등장하는데, 완전한 인간도 아니고 완전한 기계도 아닌 사이보그 같은 형상이에요.
이 존재는 다음과 같은 특징을 가집니다:

Chaosphere is the third studio album by Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah. It was released on 9 November 1998 by Nuclear Blast, and is the only studio album to feature bassist Gustaf Hielm. Chaosphere's sound shows the band toning down some of the thrash style of their previous releases in favor of the technical, polyrhythmic, groove-oriented sound they would continue to explore on subsequent albums. A video was made for "New Millennium Cyanide Christ".
The Japanese version of the album contains a bonus song, titled "Unanything", as track 9. This song was also included on the promotional card-sleeve CD as track 6. On both this and the standard album release, after "Elastic" there is a period of silence then an unlisted and unindexed track where all of the album's songs are played at once, with volume changes making each song somewhat dominant and recognisable in the mix at different times.
The "Reloaded" re-release features five of the six tracks from The True Human Design EP.

《카오스피어》(Chaosphere)는 스웨덴 익스트림 메탈 밴드 메슈가(Meshuggah)의 세 번째 정규 앨범입니다. 1998년 11월 9일 뉴클리어 블래스트(Nuclear Blast)에서 발매되었으며, 베이시스트 구스타프 힐름(Gustaf Hielm)이 참여한 유일한 정규 앨범입니다. 《카오스피어》는 이전 앨범들의 스래시 스타일을 다소 누그러뜨리고, 이후 앨범들에서 계속해서 탐구하게 될 테크니컬하고 폴리리듬적인 그루브 지향적인 사운드를 보여줍니다. "New Millennium Cyanide Christ"는 뮤직비디오로 제작되었습니다.

일본판에는 보너스 트랙 "Unanything"이 9번 트랙으로 수록되어 있습니다. 이 곡은 프로모션용 카드 슬리브 CD의 6번 트랙에도 포함되어 있습니다. 이 프로모션 CD와 일반 앨범 모두에서 "Elastic" 이후 잠시 정적이 흐르고, 그 뒤에 앨범의 모든 곡이 한꺼번에 재생되는 트랙이 나옵니다. 각 곡의 볼륨이 조절되어 믹스에서 각 곡이 다른 시점에 두드러지게 들립니다.
