1  Pues bien, Pedro y Juan estaban subiendo al templo para la hora de la oración, a la hora novena,* 
2  y había un hombre cojo de nacimiento al que estaban cargando hasta la puerta del templo llamada Hermosa. Allí lo ponían a diario para que pudiera pedir limosna* a los que entraban en el templo. 
3  Tan pronto como él vio a Pedro y a Juan a punto de entrar en el templo, empezó a pedirles limosna. 
4  Pero Pedro, acompañado de Juan, lo miró fijamente y le dijo: “Míranos”. 
5  Así que él los miró atento esperando que le dieran algo. 
6  Sin embargo, Pedro le dijo: “No tengo plata ni oro, pero te doy lo que tengo. ¡En el nombre de Jesucristo el Nazareno, camina!”.+ 
7  Dicho eso, lo tomó de la mano derecha y lo levantó.+ Al instante se le fortalecieron los pies y los tobillos,+ 
8  y de un salto se puso de pie,+ comenzó a caminar y entró con ellos en el templo caminando, saltando y alabando a Dios. 
9  Y toda la gente lo vio caminando y alabando a Dios. 
10  Entonces se dieron cuenta de que era el hombre que solía sentarse a pedir limosna en la Puerta Hermosa del templo,+ y se quedaron totalmente boquiabiertos y admirados por lo que le había pasado.


1  Now Peter and John were going up into the temple for the hour of prayer, the ninth hour,* 
2  and a man who was lame from birth was being carried. Every day they would put him near the temple door that was called Beautiful, so he could ask for gifts of mercy from those entering the temple. 
3  When he caught sight of Peter and John about to go into the temple, he began asking for gifts of mercy. 
4  But Peter, together with John, looked straight at him and said: “Look at us.” 
5  So he fixed his attention on them, expecting to get something from them. 
6  However, Peter said: “Silver and gold I do not possess, but what I do have is what I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Naz·a·reneʹ, walk!”+ 
7  With that he took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up.+ Instantly his feet and his ankles were made firm;+ 
8  and leaping to his feet,+ he began walking and went with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. 
9  And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 
10  And they began to recognize him, that this was the man who used to sit waiting for gifts of mercy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple,+ and they were completely astonished and ecstatic about what had happened to him.


1  베드로와 요한이 제9시* 기도 시간을 위해 성전에 올라가고 있었다. 
2  그런데 태어날 때부터 다리가 불구인 사람 하나가 들려 왔다. 사람들은 매일 그를 ‘아름다운 문’이라는 성전 문 근처에 두어, 성전에 들어가는 이들에게 구걸할* 수 있게 했다. 
3  그는 성전으로 들어가려는 베드로와 요한을 보고 구걸하기 시작했다. 
4  그러자 베드로가 요한과 함께 그를 똑바로 바라보며 “우리를 보십시오” 하고 말했다. 
5  그는 무엇인가를 얻으리라고 기대하며 그들을 유심히 쳐다보았다. 
6  베드로가 말했다. “은과 금은 내게 없지만, 내가 가진 것을 당신에게 주겠습니다. 나사렛 사람 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 말하는데, 걸으십시오!”+ 
7  그러면서 그의 오른손을 잡아 일으켰다.+ 그는 즉시 발과 발목에 힘이 생기면서+ 
8  벌떡 일어서서+ 걷기 시작했다. 그리고 그들과 함께 성전으로 들어가면서 걷기도 하고 껑충껑충 뛰기도 하며 하느님을 찬양했다. 
9  모든 사람이 그가 걸어 다니며 하느님을 찬양하는 것을 보았다. 
10  그들은 그가 성전의 ‘아름다운 문’에 앉아 구걸하던 사람인+ 것을 알아보고, 그에게 일어난 일로 인해 매우 놀라며 경탄했다.
