4. 교회발전과 목회자의 발전

8) 교회를 사랑의 보자기로 싸라

사람이라는 것은 일상생활에서 사리(事理)가 밝아야 됩니다. 우둔하면 안 돼요. 그다음에 정(情)이 있어야 돼요. 사리에 밝다는 것은 이치에 맞다는 말입니다. 전후좌우를 살필 줄 알아야 된다 이거예요. 우둔해서는 안 되는 거라구요. 상하·전후·좌우를 가릴 줄 알아야 됩니다.

그다음에 그것을 포괄(包括)할 수 있는 것은 정이예요, 정. 정의 보자기는 전부 다 싸는 거예요. 할아버지 할머니도 싸고, 애기도 싸고 다 싸는 거예요. 그래요, 안 그래요? 이론의 보자기는 일방적이지만 정의 보자기는 포괄적이예요.

그러기에 선생님은 팔십 난 할머니도 좋아하고…. 요즘에는 여기가 할머니들이 사는 본부가 됐더구만. 어린 애기도 그렇고, 사랑의 보자기로 싸면 전부 다 좋아하는 거예요. 서로 움켜 가지고 깨지 않고 영원히 잠들어 쉬고 싶고 자고 싶은 곳이 사랑의 보자기 안이다 이거예요. 

그런 마음을 여러분들이 가져야 됩니다. 그래야 마음이 편하거든요. 여러분 곁에 오면 괜히 좋고 그 집에 가서 밥을 먹으면 암만 조밥을 먹더라도 맛이 있고, 담요뙈기도 없이 그냥 엎드려 자더라도 좋고, 기도하면서 밤새워도 좋고, 그렇게 되어야 되는 거예요.

여러분의 교회가 그래요? 그래요, 안 그래요? 교회를 발전시켜야 된다구요. 교회를 발전시켜야 돼요. 집을 지어 왔으니 집의 주인이, 책임자가 여러분인데, 그 방구석을 보고 어떻게 잠을 자고, 어떻게 놀고 어떻게 밥을 먹나 말이예요.

그뿐만이 아닙니다. 교회의 책임도 해야 되겠지만 나라의 책임도 해야 된다구요. 그다음에 세계의 책임도 해야 됩니다. 그게 우리 인생이 갈 길이라구요. (81-328)

4. 教会の発展と牧会者の責任

8) 教会を愛のふろしきで包め

人というのは、日常生活で、事理が明らかでなければなりません。鈍くてはいけません。その次に情がなくてはなりません。事理に明るいというのは、道理に合っているということです。前後左右を見ることができなければなりません。鈍くてはいけないということなのです。上下、前後、左右をわきまえることができなければなりません。

その次に、それを包括できるものは情です。情のふろしきは全部包むのです。おじいさんおばあさんも包み、赤ちゃんも包み、みな包むのです。そうですか、そうではないですか？　理論のふろしきは一方的ですが、情のふろしきは包括的です。

ゆえに、先生は八十歳になるおばあさんも好きだし……。このごろは、ここがおばあさんたちが住む本部になったのですね。幼い赤ん坊もそうですし。愛のふろしきで包めば、みな喜ぶのです。お互い寄り添い合って、割れずに永遠に寝床に入って休みたく寝たいところが、愛のふろしきの中だというのです。

そのような心を皆さんがもたなければなりません。そうしてこそ心が安らかなのです。皆さんの横に来れば、なぜか良くて、その家に行って御飯を食べれば、いくら粟飯を食べてもおいしく、布団もなく、ただ横になって寝ても良く、祈祷しながら夜を明かしても良い、そうならなければならないのです。

皆さんの教会がそうですか、そうではないですか？　教会を発展させなければなりません。家を建てておいたので、家の主人が、責任者があなた方なのに、その部屋の隅を見て、どのように寝、どのように遊び、どのように御飯を食べるのかというのです。

それだけではありません。教会の責任も成さなければなりませんが、国の責任も成さなければなりません。その次に世界の責任も成さなければなりません。それが、私たちの人生の行くべき道なのです。（八一―三三八）

8) Wrap the Church with the Cloth of Love

A person must be sensible in his daily life. You must have an agile mind. Then you must be heartistic. Being sensible means being in accordance with reason. You should be able to examine front, back, left, and right. You cannot be dull-brained. You should be able to distinguish up and down, front and back, and left and right.

Then, your heart and affection can embrace it all. The cloth of affection will wrap them all. It will wrap grandfather and grandmother, as well as a little child. Isn't this true? The cloth of theory is only one-sided, but the cloth of heart is comprehensive.

For this reason even an eighty-year old grandmother likes me. Nowadays, this place has become the resident headquarters of grandmothers. As is also true for the children, if you wrap them with the cloth of love, then everyone likes that. The inside of the cloth of love is a place where all will want to grab each other, and never wanting to be split apart, want to rest and sleep forever.
 
You must possess that kind of heart. Only then would the mind be at peace. Then, when someone goes near you they will be happy for no reason. If he eats in your house, he will be delighted at the humblest of meals. When he sleeps in your house, he does not need blankets and can just lie on the bare ground and fall asleep comfortably; and he does not mind staying up for a night prayer vigil.

This is how it should be. Is your church like this? Is it like this or not? You must make development in your church. You must develop your church. Since the house is already built, you are the owners of house, and you are the leaders.

But the important issue is how you spend your time in it, how you are sleeping, how you are playing and eating meals. This is not everything. You should be responsible for the church, but you must also take responsibility for the nation. Then be responsible for the world. This is the path we must walk in our lifetime. [81-328]
