It's a mistake if you think it's just one of those stories talking about one's childhood adventures, the friendship of a boy and an animal or even the positive thinking leading to be a successful survior in the adversity. It might appear to be like that, but, it's much more than that. It's all about the faith and attitude. Pi's way of seeing through things is as unique as his nickname, like he's into Christianity and Muslim with Hindu ideas by upbringing, at the same time, which sounds quite nonsense with a few sticking to the specific religion. Right after the fitful burst of laughter, he made me wandering around in my inner space, looking for what life is and what it's like to be the very human-being including personal relationship with god.
첫댓글 I read this book in traslation. I was not very much inspired at that time. I don't remember if I found this information from the book itself or in a commentary, but one thing I remember certainly about the story is that the whole travel is some dreadful metaphore regarding mother.
I really recommend this book
