One Full Day in Busan with Timo 🇰🇷🇫🇮

What a day! 😂

I met Timo at Busan Station this morning, and from there, our one-day Busan adventure began.

First stop: Gwangalli Beach.
We had sushi for lunch — after a little confusion about which sushi restaurant was the right one. 😂 Eventually, Timo recognized the place he had visited before, and we enjoyed a great lunch.

Then we headed up to Hwangnyeongsan Mountain and stopped at the Cloud Café. With a beautiful panoramic view of Busan in front of us, we cooled down with drinks and spent some time just talking and enjoying the scenery.

Next came Choryang Ibagu-gil and its famous steep hillside. The 168 Stairs and that incredibly steep ride up the hill were an adventure of their own. 😅

From there, we continued to Yongdusan Park.

And, of course, we couldn't miss the funny coincidence of the day: Timo has a dragon tattoo on his arm with 태권도 written beside it, so we had to introduce Timo's dragon to the Yongdusan dragon. 🐉😂

Then it was straight to Taejongdae.

After so much walking in the August heat, driving through Taejongdae with its trees, cliffs, and sea views was a welcome change of pace. A little sightseeing, a little driving, and finally some rest for our legs. 😄

By evening, there was only one important mission left:

Korean BBQ! 🥩🔥

We returned to Choryang and had dinner on the BBQ street — grilled pork, ssam wrapped in perilla leaves, doenjang-jjigae, and plenty of side dishes.

Timo seems to be getting pretty comfortable with the Korean way of eating now. 😂

And finally, after a very full day, we made it back to Busan Station.

Timo's train leaves Busan at 8:15 PM.

Right now, we're sitting at Pascucci Café, cooling down with iced café lattes while keeping one eye on the departure monitor, waiting for the track number to appear. ☕👀🚄

From Busan Station to Gwangalli, Hwangnyeongsan, Choryang Ibagu-gil, Yongdusan, Taejongdae, Korean BBQ… and finally back to Busan Station.

Sea, mountains, old neighborhoods, dragons, food, coffee, lots of walking, lots of sweating, and plenty of laughs. 😂

A long day?
