A: I just broke up with Jenny. I feel terrible./ B: I'm so sorry to hear that,Tom. But Jenny wasn't very kind to you.
A: Yeah, she was always so selfish and never considered my feelings./ B: That's true. She often seemed very manipulative, too.
A: And she was always so negative about everything./ B: Exactly. You deserve someone who is supportive and caring.
A: Hi, Tom, how are you feeling today?/ B: I'm doing a bit better, thanks. It's still tough, though.
A: It's normal to feel that way. Just take it one day at a time./ B: Yeah, I guess so. It helps to talk about it.
A: Anytime, Tom. I'm here for you. Do you want to grab a coffee later?/ B: That sounds nice. Thanks, Diane.
A: I have a coworker named Emily. I think you two might get along well./ B: Really? What is she like?
A: Well, what do you look for in an ideal girlfriend?/ B: I like someone who is kind and has a good sense of humor.
A: Emily is very kind and always makes people laugh. She's also quite understanding./ B: That sounds great. I'd like to meet her.
A: Hi, Tom, it's Emily. Diane gave me your number./ B: Hi, Emily! It's nice to hear from you.
A: Likewise. I was thinking, how about we grab coffee this Saturday?/ B: That sounds perfect. I know a great cafe downtown.
A: Great! Let's meet there at 10 am?/ B: 10 am works for me. Looking forward to it, Emily!
A: Hey, Tom, how did your date with Emily go?/ B: It was amazing! We talked for hours and have so much in common.
A: I'm so glad to hear that. Do you think you'll see her again?/ B: Definitely. We already planned a hiking trip next weekend.
A: That's fantastic! I knew you two would hit it off./ B: Thanks for introducing us, Diane. I'm really happy I met her.
A: Why aren't you at work?/ B: I have pink eye./ A: Oh, get well soon./ B: Thanks.
A: I have the flu./ B: Should I get you a humidifier?/ A: Yes, please./ B: Here you go.
A: Where were you?/ B: I went to the doctor's./ A: Why?/ B: I have the stomach flu.
A: Are you coming to the party?/ B: No. My son has the chickenpox./ A: Is he okay?/ B: Not really.
A: I have the shingles./ B: That must be tough./ A: It is./ B: Hope you recover soon.
