The Christian Doctrine of Suffering 고통에 대한 기독인 교리


[The Christian doctrine of suffering] explains, I believe, [a very curious fact /about the world () we live in].

[The settled happiness and security //which we all desire], 

God withholds [목] /from us /by the very nature of the world:
but [joy, pleasure, and merriment], He has scattered [목] /broadcast.

We are never safe, but we have plenty of fun, and some ecstasy. 

It is not hard [to see why].


[The security () we crave] would teach [us] [to rest our hearts in this world and oppose an obstacle to our return to God]:

[a few moments of happy love, a landscape, a symphony, a merry meeting with our friends, a bathe or a football match], 

have no such tendency.

Our Father refreshes us /on the journey /with some pleasant inns, but will not encourage us [to mistake them for home].

* 5 형식 [The security] would teach [us] [to rest~ and oppose an obstacle to our return to God]:

* 세상의 본성은 악하기에 약자의 행복과 안전을 항상 위협한다

We 우리는 are never 결코 safe 안전하지 않다,

but 그러나 we 우리는 have 가진다 plenty of fun 많은 재미를,

and 그리고 some 어떤 ecstasy 황홀감도.

have 가지지 않았다 no 아무런 such 그런 tendency 성향을.

* 즐거움을 주는 여러 가지 일들은 안전처럼 쉼과 투쟁을 가르치고자 하는 성향이 없다

Our 우리의 Father 아버지께서는 refreshes 소생시키신다 us 우리를 /on the journey 여정에서

/with some 어떤 pleasant 유쾌한 inns 여관들/쉼터에서,

but 그러나 will not encourage 성원하시지 않으실 것이다 us 우리가 [to mistake 오해하기를 them 그것들을

for home 집으로 ].

* 인생은 천국을 가기 위한 여정이므로 한시적인 쉼터를 본향으로 오해하지 않도록

하나님께서는 다른 즐거움은 허락하시지만 이 땅에서의 안정된 안전과 행복은 유보하신다

자녀이면 또한 상속자 곧 하나님의 상속자요 그리스도와 함께 한 상속자니 

우리가 그와 함께 영광을 받기 위하여 고난도 함께 받아야 할 것이니라
