<4> Pain at the head of humerus when shoulder joint is moved

Local pain which is felt on the shoulder during resisted movements may be relieved by a simple treatment of the deltoid However inadequate treatment of the supporting muscles may also cause such pain in the shoulder

Spiral balancing theory includes the concept that the right and left shoulders are supported by the teres major muscle and the teres minor muscle respectively This should be kept in mind when treating the painful shoulder (Photo 4-13)

Treatment method

Tape : 3-4 mm wide

Position : Neutral

Right teres major muscle : Apply tape at right angle to the muscle fiber as shown in Photo 4- 13

Left teres minor muscle : Similar to that  for right teres major muscle
