CFD-GEOM은 상호 작용하는 CAD 타입의 Geometry를 작성하고 좀더 효율적인 격자 생성을 도와주는 CFD-ACE+의 전 전처리기(Pre-Processor)입니다. 또한 CFD-GEOM은 기타 다른 어떤 상용 CAD 프로그램에서 만들어진 데이터와의 Interface를 가지고 있기 때문에 사용자들의 CAD 환경에 맞게 통합되어 질 수 있습니다. 주요 특징은 다음에 열거 되어 있습니다.

Improvements in V2006

New Structured Block Coarsening Feature : 2-D및 3-D Structured block들이 밀한 격자계가 필요하지 않은 영역에서 사용자에 의해 그 격자계의 밀한 정도를 성기게 조절할 수 있도록, Coarsening factor(격자의 성김정도를 조절하는 factor)를 사용하여 어떤 특정 Block의 격자계를 성기게 만들 수 있는 기능이며, 이 기능에 의해 격자가 성기게 조절된 Block과 그렇지 않은 Block 간에는 Arbitrary interface를 설정할 필요가 없다.
New General Edge Grid Type : Power law, hyperbolic tangent, geometric distribution type 이 아닌 (PLOT3D와 같은) External grid type을 그대로 load할 수 있다.
New and Improved Geometry Tools : Axial Scaling tool, Curve Averaging tool, 두 entity간의 최소거리로 연결될 수 있는 Point를 생성하는 tool
New and Improved Grid Tools : tetrahedral, pyramid mesh generator의 수치적 향상, Automatic Surface Set and Domain Orientation, New Copy Edge Endpoint Spacing tool, New Copy Edge Distribution tool, Improved face revolution from an edge, Automatic Face Creation tool, New Face Joining tool, New Block Reordering tool
