Ceylon Red Tea

Ceylon Red Tea is produced entirely from the leaves of the tea plant Camellia Sinensis and utilizes no foreign substances to influence the unique colour.

실론 Red Tea는 순수한 자연의 Camellia Sinensis(동백나무과)의 차 잎을 원료로 하여 생산되며 어떠한 인공색소도 첨가하지 않은 천연의 색상인 순수한 Tea 그대로 입니다.

Unlike green tea it is highly oxidized and is produced using special technology.

Never before has red tea been produced in Sri Lanka and this is due to the lack of know-how and expertise.

Sri Lanka records the worlds highest levels of antioxidants found in tea leaves and certain high grown teas have been found to have red colouring in the leaves, a desirable characteristic in the production of supreme quality red teas.

Ceylon red tea has increased health properties, compared to normal green and black teas.

Ceciliyan Estate (black tea)

Possibly the finest estate in the Ruhuna district of Sri Lanka home of Ceylon Tea.

Ceciliyan estate lies in a little known sub region of Kalawana on the fringe of one of the worlds last remaining rain forests.

A unique micro climate produces a rare sweet caramally full bodied brew that goes well with milk.

Sanquar Estate (green Tea)

Sanquar estate is nestled in the valley, surrounded by some blue mountains and cascading water falls up in the Kandy district, approximately 2800 feet above sea level.

Sanquar 지역은 맑고 푸른 산에 의하여 둘러싸이는 계곡에 위치 하고 있습니다.

그리고 Kandy 지역에는 해발 2800피트 위치에 폭포가 있습니다.

This picturesque property carries a historical value, as it is said to be the hideout of king Dutugemunu, before he was crowned king of Sri Lanka.

이 그림과 같이 아름다운 지역은 절경과 함께 Dutugemunu왕이 스리랑카의 왕이 되기 이전에 은신처로서 사용하였던 역사적인 의미도 있는 지역 입니다

Sanquar is situated in the mid country wet zone and experience both the monsoon as well as the inter monsoons.

Sanquar는 인도 중부 다습 지역에 위치하고 있으며 이 지역은 여러 형태의 몬순을 다양하게 경험할 수 있는 최상의 지역 입니다.

The average temperature stands at 25-30°C and records an annual rainfall of 2000 mm.

Sanquar is one of the oldest tea plantations in Sri Lanka and the history goes back to the 19th century.

이 지역은 연평균 기온이 25-30°C이며 강수량은 2000 mm를 기록 하고 있습니다.

Sanquar는 스리랑카에서 가장 오래된 차 재배지 중의 하나이며 아울러 19세기 이전의 역사를 가지고 있는 지역 입니다.

Most of the tea fields on Sanquar are old enough to produce some of the best green teas on the island.

Sanquar에게 대부분의 차 재배지 들은 최상의 품질에 가장 맛있는 녹차를 생산할 수 있는 충분한 조건을 가지고 있는 지역 입니다. This estate used to be managed by M/s Rosehaugh Ceylon Tea Company Ltd. up to 16th October 1975.

이 지역은 1975년 10월 16일부터 M/s Rosehaugh Ceylon Tea Company Ltd.가 설립되어 있는 최고의 녹차 생산지역 입니다. Since August 1999 a part of this estate has been converted into organic cultivation and all chemicals and synthetic fertilizer application have been suspended to the tea field and within two years the estate obtained the organic status from SKAL international.

1999년 8월 이후부터는 이 지역의 차 생산은 유기농법을 사용하는 지역으로 지정되어 모든 화학물질과 합성 비료의 사용이 금지 되었습니다.

그리고 이 지역은 SKAL international로부터 유기농법 지역으로 인정 받은 것이 2년정도 되었습니다.

Currently the estate

comprises 60% organic cultivation and the rest is inorganic which uses minimum quantum of chemicals which is far below the recommended levels.

현재 이 지역은 60%가 유기농법으로 차를 재배하고 있으며 나머지 상품성이 떨어지는 저가 제품들만 극소량의 화학비료를 사용하고 있습니다.

By having strict measures Sanquar is able to produce some of the “cleanest tea” in the country.

Sanquar는 국가에서 엄격한 법규정을 가지고 차 재배를 관리하고 있기 때문에 가장 깨끗한 차를 만들 수 지역 입니다.

The work force consists with workers from all three major races in Sri Lanka and their unity and harmony is one of the key factors in the plantation.

노동력은 스리랑카 정부와 노동자들의 협동과 단결의 세가지 조화가 합쳐서 최고의 차 재배지가 될 수 있었던 열쇠인 것입니다.

Work force on Sanquar is well looked after and they are provided with necessary amenities such as housing, water, electricity, day care centres, schools, dispensary, sports clubs etc.

The distance to Sanquar estate is only 150 Kms from the city of Colombo and can also be reached by rail which is a wonderful experience by itself!
