창12:10

사는 것이 녹록치 않을 때, 편법이 늘 먼저 보이는 것 같습니다. 하나님이 인도하신

약속의 땅, 순종으로 도착한 땅 가나안에 기근이 찾아옵니다. 물이 풍성한 애급과는 달리

가나안은 그 자체로는 낙원이 아니며, 하나님의 손길 아래서만 풍성한 땅이 되는 가능성의

땅입니다. 아브람은 약속보다는 상황을 더 크게 보았고 하나님보다 애급을 더 신뢰하였기에

애급 거류를 결정합니다.

When life is not green, it seems that the expedient always comes first.
Famine in Canaan, the land of promise that God has delivered, the land that arrived by

obedience, They come, and unlike their water-rich brethren, Canaan is not a paradise

in itself, but a land of possibilities that is abundant only under the touch of God. Abram

decides to stay in the first place because he saw things bigger than promise and trusted

him more than God.

혼돈 앞에서 하나님을 잊어버렸습니다. 하나님은 순종을 요구하실 때 고난 없는 삶을 약속

하신 적이 없어요. 고난 중에서 같이 하겠다고 약속하셨습니다. 하늘을 우러러 부끄러움 없는

신앙생활을 했다고 생각했는데, 하나님께서 땅문서는커녕 기근을 내려주실 때 너무너무 섭섭했습니다.

직장, 학교, 회사를 제외한 모든 시간은 공동체를 돌보거나 공부를 하는데 사용했지만 백날

성경공부하면 뭐하냐고 비아냥거리는 아내에게 한이 맺혀 집을 나왔습니다.

I forgot God in front of Chaos. When God asks for obedience,

물론 그것이 이혼까지 갈 줄은 몰랐습니다. 앞서 인도하시는 대로 걸어온 아브라함에게도

기근이 온 것을 보면 ‘약속의 땅’과 ‘기근의 땅’은 공존하는 모양입니다. 바로 그 순간이

내 믿음의 한계를 보게 하는 순간입니다. 환별의 순간 말입니다. 아브람은 기근이 닥치자

약속의 땅을 버리고 애급으로 내려갔습니다.

목숨이 위태로워지자 하나님의 약속은 잊은 채 아내를 누이라고 속입니다. 갈 바를 알지

못하고 본토 친척 아비의 집을 떠났던 어제의 믿음은 온데간데없고 ,오직 일신의 안위에

만 연연합니다. 그 덕에 재물과 안전은 확보했지만, 아내는 잃었고 하나님의 약속은

위태로워졌습니다. 복의 근원으로 부름 받은 제 집에 재앙이 내립니다.

When your life was at stake, you should forget God's promise and keep your wife.

복의 근원이 화의 근원이 된 것이지요. 빛과 소금이 기능을 잃으면 밟히는 법, 바로는

“어찌하여 그를 네게 말하지 아니하였느냐“며 나의 속임수를 꾸짖었습니다. 지난 5년 동안 집을

나와 살면서 실형 한번, 불구속 전과가 5개가 넘고 사회봉사 100일, 보호관찰2년을 치렀습니다.

아브람이 애급에 우거하려 하여 그리로 내려갔으니(10b)

이는 그 땅에 기근이 심하였음이라(10c)

그가 애급에 가까이 이를 때에(11a)

그 아내 사래더러 말하되(11b)

나 알기에 그대는 아리따운 여인이라(11c)

애급 사람이 그대를 볼 때에(12a)

이르기를 이는 그의 아내라 하고(12b)

나는 죽이고 그대는 살리리니(12c)

원컨대 그대는 나의 누이라 하라(13a)

그리하면 내가 그대로 인하여 안전하고(13b)

내 목숨이 그대로 인하여 보존하겠노라 하니라(13c)

아브람이 애급에 이르렀을 때에(14a)

애급 사람들이 그 여인의 심히 아리따움을 보았고(14b)

바로의 대신들도 그를 보고 바로 앞에 칭찬하므로(15a)

그 여인을 바로의 궁으로 취하여 들인지라(15b)

이에 바로가 그를 인하여 아브람을 후대하므로(16a)

아브람이 양과 소와 노비와 암 수 나귀와 약대를 얻었더라(16b)

여호와께서 아브람의 아내 사래의 연고로(17a)

바로와 그 집에 큰 재앙을 내리신지라(17b)

바로가 아브람을 불러서(18a)

이르되 네가 어찌하여 나를 이렇게 대접하였느냐(18b)

네가 어찌하여 그를 네 아내라고 내게 고하지 아니하였느냐(18c)

네가 어찌 그를 누이라 하여 나로 그를 취하여 아내를 삼게 하였느냐(19a)

네 아내가 여기 있으니 이제 데려가라 하고(19b)

바로가 사람들에게 그의 일을 명하매(20a)

그들이 그 아내와 그 모든 소유를 보내었더라(20b)

내 실수와 연약함에도 불구하고 약속을 신실하게 이루어 가시는 주님,

바로의 집에 큰 재앙을 내려 믿음의 자손을 보존하신 하나님을 찬양하나이다.

내가 아내를 팔아 기근은 극복한 것을 주께서 지적하셨으니 내 이기심을 회개하고

고생한 아내를 잘 돌보게 하옵소서. 다시 한 번 하나님이 주신 환경 가운데 당신의

진실성을 바라보면서 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻을 행할 것을 다짐합니다.

The LORD is faithful in his promise, despite my mistakes and my weakness,
Praise the LORD, who has preserved the descendants of faith in the house of

Pharaoh.For the Lord has pointed out that I have sold my wife to overcome the famine.
Repent your selfishness and take good care of your troubled wife. Once again,
