11) 동역자의 동정을 받을 수 있어야

선생님이 오늘날 통일교회 전체 식구들을 바라보게 될 때에, 지금까지 발전현상을 전개시켜야 할 것이 이 시대 우리의 책임인데도 불구하고 침체 일로를 가고 있는 것은 무엇 때문이냐?

지역장들은 지역장 자신을 중심 삼고 자기 주위에 있는 지역장의 동정을 받을 수 있는 입장에 서지 못한 것이요, 지구장의 동정을 받지 못하는 입장에 선 것이요,

혹은 본부나 선생님의 동정을 받을 수 있는 입장에 서지 못하고, 더 나아가서는 하늘과 땅, 오늘날 이 모든 인류가 여러분을 대하여 동정할 수 있는 기반이 되어 있지 않은 연고로 여러분들은 여기서 지치고, 여러분이 서 있는 곳은 외롭고, 여러분이 서 있는 그 기반은 황폐해 나간다는 것을 알아야 됩니다. 

그렇기 때문에 책임을 짊어진 사람들은 어느 때나 하늘의 동정을 남길 수 있는 터전에 서야 그를 따르고 있는 후손들도 하늘 앞에 충신이 될 수 있고 하늘 앞에 효자가 될 수 있다는 것입니다.

그런 것을 여러분들이 명심하고 이제 지방에 돌아가게 되면 이 시대에 적응할 수 있는 여러분이 다 되어 가지고 하늘이 바라는 기준 앞에 어긋나지 않는 기반을 닦아 가지고 3년간 여러분들이 최후의 역량을 다 발휘하여 활동해 주기를 바랍니다. (153-281)

11) 同役者の同情を受けられなければ

先生が今日、統一教会の全体の食口たちを見るとき、今まで発展現象を展開させなければならないのが、この時代の私たちの責任であるにもかかわらず、沈滞の一途をたどっているのは、何ゆえでしょうか？　

地域長たちは、地域長自身を中心に、自分の周囲にいる地域長の同情を受けられない立場に立ったのであり、あるいは、本部や先生の同情を受けられる立場に立てず、より進んでは、天と地、今日このすべての人類が、皆さんについて同情できる基盤になっていないゆえに、皆さんはここで疲れ、皆さんが立っている所は寂しく、皆さんが立っているその基盤は荒廃していくということを知らなければなりません。

それゆえに、責任をもった人たちは、いつでも天の同情を残すことのできる基盤に立ってこそ、彼らに従っている後孫たちも、天の前に忠臣になれ、天の前に孝子になれるのです。

このようなことを皆さんが肝に銘じ、今や地方に行くようになれば、この時代に適応できる皆さんになって、天が望む基準の前に、食い違いのない基盤をつくり、三年間皆さんが、最後の力量を発揮し、活動してくださることを望みます。（一五三―二八一）

11) You Must Win the Sympathy of Your Colleagues

When I look at all of the Unification Church members of today, I ask the question, why is it that although our present responsibility is making a step forward, we are experiencing stagnation?

Regional leaders have been self-centered so that they were not in a position to be sympathized by the other regional leaders around them, or were not in position to win sympathy from the headquarters and me. Furthermore, they did not build the basis for heaven, earth, and all of humanity of today to sympathize with them.

For this reason you become exhausted, and wherever you stand there is loneliness, and the foundation that you stand upon heads towards destruction. You must understand this.

For this reason, those who are in a position of responsibility must stand on the foundation that will always leave behind God's sympathy, and only then will the descendants that follow after him become filial children and patriots before heaven.

You should take this to heart, and when you go back to the regions, you should become adaptable to the present era, and I wish that after laying the foundation that is in line with God's standard, you should mobilize all of your abilities to carry on the work.
