The Unfading Flower Within the Cheongsong Flower Stone

A sack of potatoes
Unable to claim
Even a handful of earth

A stone gate
Pushing itself open
Flowers into stone

A Low Place
A Shaded Place
A Remote Place

Opening the squeaking stone gate
Slowly waving a hand
Wishing you a safe return

An arm around a shoulder, a gentle pat
Coming back again and again
Until both feet ache

Whenever I hold your paper-thin hand
The fragrance of plum blossoms
Seeps into my palms

The cold Cheongsong flower stones grow warm

The hard, heavy stone gate opens and closes

Freely with only one hand
Flower into Cheongsong Flower Stone

The flower of all flowers blooming

Even in the heart of stone

질 수 없는 청송꽃돌 속 꽃

감자 한 포기 
좁쌀 한 톨 심을 땅도 귀한데
차마 땅마저 차지할 수 없다며

돌 문을 
스스로 밀치고 
돌에 든 꽃

낮은 곳
그늘진 곳
외따로 떨어진 곳

돌 문을 삐그덕 열면
돌도 잘 다녀오라고 
손을 살래살래 흔들지요

두 발 부르트도록 찾아가 
다독이며
어깨를 감싸주지요

여윈 손 꼬옥 잡아 줄 때마다
손에 묻은 매화꽃 향기가 
온몸으로 스며드는 
든든하고 믿음직한 꽃

차가운 청송꽃돌도
따뜻하게 데워 주고
단단하고 무거운 돌 문 
한 손으로도 마음대로 
여닫고 드나드는
청송꽃돌 속 꽃

돌 속에 있어도
꽃 가운데 꽃
