<p>The Wall street  journal reports Elon Musk has been in regular contact with Russian president Vladimir  Putin for the   las two years </p><p>Musk owns major government contractors <span style="color: #333333; background-color: #ffffff;" data-ke-size="size16"> space X </span> and is a  key ally of R<span style="color: #333333; background-color: #ffffff;" data-ke-size="size16">epublican presidential nominee </span>Donald Trump. The person familiar with the  situation  confirmed to the Associate press that Musk and Putin had contact through  calls. </p><p>Musk, the world richest man,  also owns  Tesla.
