교독문 Responsive Reading 시편 Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Evangelical Apocalypse
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. Revelation 1:1-3
Evangelical Apocalypse
The Bible was written by God through human language and character as the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It had to be applied in common to children and to grown-ups, transcending all times, and at the same time within the times. God created the world, but he made it composed of spatial events and in the passage of time. But he put the world beyond them in it and made them feel and find it.
Therefore, the Bible was given to us like one of the many books in the world and treated like a book that could be viewed from the perspective of the world. But it lives and moves like a person, revealing our personality and all the visible and invisible worlds. So the Bible has records of the invisible world behind it and the visible side.
The Book of Revelation contains the structure of the Bible as it is. It's written as if it's going along the passage of time, but it's actually alternating between the records of the visible and the invisible worlds. And when it's repeated, it's not repeating the previous, it's taking a step to the next situation. When you embody it, it looks like a screw is going on.
These figures are found in many places in the creation of God. First of all, when we built the temple, it was built in a three-tiered structure, and the stairs from the lower floor to the top were spiraled. (Extremely 6:8) This form is also found in the structure of DNA, an information unit, in cells, which are the basic units of all living things. In this way, we can speculate that the ladder that reached the sky in Jacob's dream was also not such a spiral structure. (Genesis 28:12)
The Book of Revelation is known as a book about the end. This is certainly the right idea. However, we must consider what the end means from an evangelical perspective. The Bible seems to be following the passage of time, so it is thought that the end is the end of time. However, it deliberately guides us toward the passage of time, that is, the direction of events, and at the same time shows that the history of heaven and the earth are simultaneously progressing in connection with each other.
This development tells us that the providence of God in history does not simply come to an end over time. Many people, especially many believers, are waiting for the Lord's advent to the end of time. Of course, I am doing so with sincerity. However, the biblical and evangelical endings do not just mean that time passes. The evangelical end goes hand in hand in both the visible and invisible worlds.
Personally, I regard death as the end. This is only the result of the natural passage of time. The end of the world, the end of time, and the death of an individual are all just natural, or the end as a visible world. The gospel ending in the Bible is the result of maturity in our character by the providence of God who history in the flow of the world. When we reach maturity in a world that is invisible to the Lord's guidance, it is our personal end. The Lord leads us on this path.
