①慈悲行願/자비로 서원을 실천함
Kind Behavior and Compassionate Vows

발우 하나로 천 집의 밥을 걸식하며
스님 홀로 죽장 짚고 만 리길 간다.
인연 따라 응화하며 소유하지 않고,
인연이 다하면 몸을 내려놓고 두 손을 놓는다.
 
                                   
一鉢乞食千家飯, 孤僧杖竹萬里遊;
 (일발걸식천가반, 고승장죽만리유)
 隨緣應化莫擁有, 緣畢放身撒兩手.
 (수연응화막옹유, 연필방신살양수)


Carrying a bowl filled with alms
from a thousand households,
I am a lone monk with a bamboo cane
who has travelled ten thousand
miles; knowing that all comes and goes according to causes and conditions,
when causes and conditions
dissipate I let go of what's in
both hands.
