2. 상응작용과 상극작용으로 인한 우주의 발전

일견 진화처럼 보이지만, 우주만물의 단계적 생성 과정에서 드 브리스가 말하는 돌연변이라는 설명은 결코 성립되지 않습니다. 보다 가치적이요 발전적인 것이 되려면 제3의 힘이 가해지지 않고는 불가능한 것입니다. 모든 동물이 오늘 진화를 계속하지 않고 있으며 인간에게서 진화가 정지되었다면, 인간을 결과가 되게 한 제1 원인적인 존재의 궁극적인 목적이 확실히 인간에게 있었다는 것을 부정할 수 없습니다. 여기서 우리는 먼저 ‘제1 원인적 존재가 선유하였다.’라는 논리를 정립할 수 있습니다.

다음은 이 우주 가운데서 존재가 먼저냐 힘이 먼저냐가 문제가 됩니다. 어떠한 존재도 어떤 힘이 없이는 생존하고 작용할 수 없습니다. 각 존재의 개체 내에서 작용하는 힘과 존재와 존재 사이의 작용을 가능케 하는 힘이 있는 것입니다. 그러면 이러한 힘이 어떻게 생기는가 하는 것이 문제입니다. 힘이 생기려면 여기에 앞서 어떤 주체와 대상이 없이는 절대로 생길 수 없습니다.

즉 주체와 대상의 관계가 선유조건으로, 이를테면 원자에도 주체인 양자와 대상인 전자가 있어 가지고 비로소 작용하는 것입니다. 힘의 작용은 주체와 대상이 하나되기 위한 목적에서 시작되는 것이기 때문에 힘이 먼저냐 주체와 대상이 먼저냐 묻게 될 때 틀림없이 주체와 대상이 먼저이며, 힘의 작용은 주체와 대상이 하나되기 위한 과정적 현상인 것입니다.

그리고 이 주체와 대상 관계의 차이와 경중에 의하여 힘의 작용이 서로 다르게 되므로 여러 가지 힘이 작용할 때마다 그 방향성과 목적성이 달라지게 마련이요, 따라서 다종다양한 존재세계가 이루어지는 것입니다. 이렇게 어떤 주체와 대상 사이의 힘의 작용에도 방향성과 목적성을 띠고 작용하게 되는 것은 제1 원인적 존재 가운데 기본적인 주체와 대상이 선유하여 방향성과 목적성을 띠고 작용하고 있기 때문인 것입니다.

이제 개체 내에서 주체와 대상이 완전히 하나된 존재는 다른 존재와 관련을 맺기 위하여 주체적 입장 혹은 대상적 입장을 취하여 그와 하나됨으로써 보다 큰 방향성과 목적성을 띤 존재로 발전하는 것입니다. 주체적 존재와 대상적 존재가 작용하는 데는 항상 어떤 공동 이익을 위하여 주고 받으면서 더 큰 존재로 발전하는 것입니다.

2. 相応作用と相克作用による宇宙の発展

一見進化のように見えますが、宇宙万物の段階的生成過程において、ド・フリースの言う突然変異という説明は決して成立しません。より価値のある発展的なものになろうとすれば、そこに第三の力が加えられずしては不可能なことです。今日、すべての動物が進化せず、人間で進化が停止したとすれば、結果的な存在である人間を生み出した第一原因的な存在の究極的目的が、明らかに人間だったということは否定できません。ここで私たちは、まず「第一原因的存在が先にあった」という論理を確立できるのです。
 
次は、この宇宙の中で、存在が先か、力が先かが問題になります。いかなる存在も、何らかの力なしでは、生存し、作用することができません。各存在の個体内で作用する力と存在と存在の間の作用を可能にする力があります。それでは、このような力はいかにして生じるかということが問題です。力が生じるためには、それに先立って、何らかの主体と対象がなければ絶対に生じることができません。
 
すなわち、主体と対象の関係が先有条件となって、力が生じるのです。例えば原子にも、主体である陽子と対象である電子があって、初めて作用するのです。力の作用は、主体と対象が一つになるための目的から始まるものなので、力が先か、主体と対象が先かと問う場合は、間違いなく主体と対象が先であって、力の作用は、主体と対象が一つになるための過程的現象なのです。
 
そして、この主体と対象との関係の差と軽重によって、力の作用がそれぞれ異なるので、様々な力が作用するたびに、その方向性と目的性が変わるようになっており、それによって多種多様な存在世界が形成されるのです。このように、いかなる主体と対象の間の力の作用にも、方向性と目的性を帯びて作用するようになっているのは、第一原因的存在の中で基本的な主体と対象が先に存在し、方向性と目的性を帯びて作用しているからなのです。
 
個体内で主体と対象が完全に一つとなった存在は、他の存在と関係を結ぶために、主体的立場、あるいは対象的立場を取り、それと一つになることによって、より大きな方向性と目的性を帯びた存在へと発展するのです。主体的存在と対象的存在が作用するところでは、常にある共同利益のためにやりとりしながらより大きな存在に発展するのです。

2. The development of the universe through interaction and counteraction

The theory of evolution seems logical, but the process of the stage-by-stage progression of all living things can never be convincingly explained by the theory of random mutation. Without the addition of energy from outside the system, this progression toward beings of greater value and higher dimension is absolutely impossible. The evolution of animals has culminated in human beings, and we can say that human beings are the ultimate purpose of creation by the first causal Being. Here again we can establish the logic that the first causal Being existed from the beginning.

Next comes the question of which was first, existence or energy? No being maintains its existence or activities without energy. There is energy that operates within an individual being and energy that enables the interaction between different beings.

The question now is how this energy is produced. It is impossible to produce energy without the prior existence of a complementary pair consisting of a subject partner and an object partner. That is to say, the relationship between a pair of subject and object partners is indispensable for energy to be produced. In the case of an atom, for example, both the proton, which is the subject partner, and the electron, which is the object partner, have to be present before they begin to interact.

There can be no flow of energy until there is the purpose of uniting the pair of subject and object partners. Therefore, if the question is raised whether energy or the subject-object pair comes first, the answer is clearly the subject-object pair. Energy is the phenomenon resulting from the process of the two becoming one.

According to the variety of relationships between subject and object partners, the energy generated differs in degree, intensity, direction and objective. This results in the variety of beings in the universe. The reason why the particular actions of subject-object pairs have directions and objectives is that the first causal Being includes a fundamental subject-object pair that acts with a certain direction and objective.

Consider a being that has attained perfect unity between the subject and object partners within its individual self. For that being to form a relationship with another being, it needs to take either the subject partner or object partner position to and unite with that other being. Thereby, the two beings progress to produce a greater form of being with a direction and objective of higher dimension.

When a being in the subject partner position wants to interact with a being in the object partner position, they have to share a common interest or purpose. Then, by interacting, they can produce the higher form of being.
