4. 통일사상은 공산주의를 극복하는 실체적 기반

그러나 통일사상은 공산주의의 허구를 폭로하고 있습니다. 그들은 이러한 사실을 알고 있기에 통일주의를 근원적으로 근절하려 하고 있는 것입니다. 공산주의자들은 그들의 정체를 폭로하는 어떤 것도 두려워하고 있습니다.

그동안 무지 때문에 수백만의 사람들이 공산주의에 이용되어 왔고 무자비하게 학살당해 왔습니다. 소수의 사람들만이 용기를 갖고 싸웠으나 이념과 조직이 약했기 때문에 그들은 고립되고 약화되었으며 쉽게 패했습니다.

오늘날 수억의 인류가 절망의 눈물을 흘리며 공산주의로부터의 해방을 고대하고 있습니다. 본인 자신은 거의 3년을 김일성 독재 하의 북한 사상범 수용소에서 보냈습니다. 그들은 본인을 그곳에 보내 죽이려 했습니다. 그러나 본인은 살아남았고, 결국 유엔군에 의해 자유롭게 되었습니다. 그때부터 본인 생애의 사명은 어떻게 하면 공산주의보다 우월한 진리, 공산주의로부터 세계를 해방할 수 있는 절대적 진리를 수립할 수 있을까에 집중되었습니다.

이제 본인이 목격한 그 범죄들에 관해 명백히 말할 수 있습니다. 본인은 공산주의에 대해 비판하고 싸우고, 공산주의를 극복하기 위한 실체적 기반을 가지고 있습니다. 따라서 여러분은 왜 공산주의자들이 레버런 문과 그 조직을 두려워하는가를 이해하실 수 있을 것입니다. 공산주의자들이 매우 이해하기 어려워하고 있는 것은 어째서 레버런 문의 운동은 그 모든 반대와 핍박과 중상에도 불구하고 그렇게 성공적으로 계속 성장하느냐 하는 것입니다. 예를 들어 일본에서 우리는 350만 명 이상의 국제승공연합 회원을 갖고 있습니다.

첫째로 공산주의자들은 하나님이 살아 계시다는 것과 실제로 통일운동의 배후에서 일하고 계신다는 것을 깨닫지 못하고 있습니다. 둘째로 그들은 종교의 진정한 본질과 인간의 본심은 오직 하나님의 진리와 사랑에 의해서만 진정한 만족을 느낀다는 사실을 이해하지 못하고 있습니다. 끝으로 그들은 영적인 세계와 이 우주를 통치하시는 하나님의 법은 변증법적 유물론에 따라 움직이지 않는다는 것을 깨닫지 못하고 있다는 것입니다.

통일운동은 우주의 근본적 진리에 기초한 깊은 종교적 체험과 단련에 의하여 촉발되고 뒷받침되어 있습니다. 그런 까닭에 우리는 세계와 인류의 마음과 본심을 움직일 수 있는 것입니다. 그들은 용서할 줄을 알게 되었습니다. 그들은 박해와 시련을 받을 때 그들을 박해한 사람들을 원망하기보다는 오히려 그것들을 영적 성장의 자양분으로 받아들이고 있습니다. 간단히 말해서 통일운동의 진정한 회원은 어떠한 반대에도 굴하지 않고 밀고 나가는 힘과 흔들리지 않는 믿음을 가지고 있습니다. 이것은 우리가 이미 세계적인 튼튼한 기반을 확립했다는 사실에서 증명되고 있습니다.

4. 「統一思想」は共産主義を克服する実体的基盤
 
しかし、「統一思想」は共産主義の虚構を暴露しています。彼らはこのような事実を知っているので、統一主義を根源的に根絶しようとしているのです。共産主義者たちは、自分たちの正体を暴露するすべてのものに対して恐れを抱いています。
 
これまで無知ゆえに数百万の人々が共産主義に利用され、無慈悲に虐殺されてきました。少数の人々だけが勇気をもって戦いましたが、理念と組織の力が弱かったために、彼らは孤立し、弱まり、簡単に敗れました。
 
今日、数億の人類が絶望の涙を流しながら、共産主義からの解放を待ち望んでいます。私は、三年近くの間、金日成独裁下にある北朝鮮の思想犯収容所で過ごしました。彼らは私をそこに投獄し、命を奪おうとしました。しかし、私は生き残り、結局、国連軍によって自由の身となりました。その時から、私の生涯の使命は、共産主義よりも優れ、共産主義から世界を解放できる絶対的真理をいかにして樹立するか、ということに集中してきました。
 
今や、私が目撃したその犯罪の数々に関して、明確に話すことができます。私は、共産主義に対して批判し、闘い、共産主義を克服するための実体的基盤をもっています。
 
以上のことから、皆様は、なぜ共産主義者たちがレバレンド・ムーンとその組織を恐れるかということについて理解できるでしょう。共産主義者たちにとって非常に理解し難いのは、なぜレバレンド・ムーンの運動は、あらゆる反対と迫害と中傷にもかかわらず、成功裏に成長し続けているのかということです。例えば、「国際勝共連合」の会員は、日本に三百五十万人以上います。
 
第一に、共産主義者たちは、神様が生きておられることと実際に統一運動の背後で神様が働いておられることを悟れずにいます。第二に、彼らは、宗教の真の本質を理解できず、また人間の本心は、ただ神様の真理と愛によってのみ、本当の満足を感じるという事実を理解できずにいます。最後に、彼らは、霊的な世界とこの宇宙を統治する神様の法が、弁証法的唯物論によって動くものではないことを悟れずにいるのです。
 
統一運動は、宇宙の根本的真理に基づいた深い宗教的体験と鍛錬によって触発され、裏づけられています。ですから、私たちは世界と人類の本心を動かすことができるのです。統一運動に参加する会員は、許すということを知るようになりました。彼らは、自分を迫害した人々を恨むのではなく、むしろ迫害と試練を霊的成長の糧として受け入れています。簡単に言えば、統一運動の真の会員は、いかなる反対にも屈せずに推進する力と揺らぐことのない信仰をもっています。これは、既に私たちが確固たる世界的基盤を確立したという事実から証明されているのです。

4. Unification Thought is the basis by which to overcome communism

The Unification thought system, however, exposes the fictions of communism. Communists know this and therefore are trying to exterminate Unificationism at its source. They are extremely afraid of anything that exposes their true identity.

Communists around the world have dominated millions of people because of their ignorance. Some are courageous enough to fight them, but because they lack a strong ideology and organization they are isolated, weakened and easily defeated. Millions of people have been slaughtered without mercy by communist regimes. Today hundreds of millions wait for liberation from communism with tears of desperation.

I myself spent nearly three years in a communist concentration camp under the North Korean dictatorship of Kim II Sung. They sent me there to die, but I survived and eventually was freed by the United Nations forces during the Korean War. Part of my life’s mission since then has been concentrated on how to establish the absolute truth, a truth superior to communism that can bring about the world’s liberation from that ideology.

I now can speak clearly about the crimes I witnessed. I now have a substantial foundation on which to speak, to act and to surpass communism. Thus, you can understand why the communists are afraid of Rev. Moon and his organization.

What the communists find very difficult to understand is why Rev. Moon’s movement continues to grow so successfully in spite of all their opposition, persecution and slander. For instance, in Japan we have more than 3.5 million members in the International Federation for Victory over Communism (IFVOC).

First, communists do not realize God is alive and substantially working behind the Unification movement. Second, they do not understand the true essence of religion and the fact that human beings feel truly satisfied in their inmost heart only by God’s truth and love. Finally, they do not realize that God’s laws, which govern the spirit world and the universe, do not operate in accordance with dialectical materialism.

The Unification movement is sustained and motivated by the deepest religious experience and discipline, based on the fundamental truths of the universe. For that reason we can move the original essence of the hearts and minds of people the world over.

For that reason our members can overcome trials and hardships no matter how severe. They have learned to forgive. They accept persecution and trials as nutrition for their spiritual growth rather than resenting those who persecute them. In short, the true members of the Unification movement have an unshakable faith and power to persevere through any opposition. This is proven by the fact that we have already established strong foundations throughout the world.
