[여자로 태어나 미친련으로 진화하다]

칼럼같은 거라 흥미돋인지 뉴데인지 모르겠는데 

일단 뉴데로 말머리 했어

모든 노래 가지고 온 건 아니고 몇몇 사람들만 가져왔어. 더 궁금한 여시들은 출처로 가면 됩니다. 

번역은 발번역 그냥 의미만 통할 정도로 해석했어여.

1910년대부터 1970년대 노래들인데 

주제폭도 다양하고 심지어 

낙태약에 대한 노래는 지금 나와도 파격적인 가사라 흥미로워서 가져왔어. 

이런 것들도 모두 여성의 역사니까.

“Just Because I’m a Woman” by Dolly Parton

“Yes I’ve made my mistakes, but listen and understand, my mistakes are no worse than yours just because I’m a woman.” (나도 내가 실수한 거 아는데 네가 한 잘못에 비하면 아무것도 아님.)

1968년 발표. 남자는 헤퍼도 되지만 여자는 헤프면 안된다는 식의 성차별주의자들의 이중잣대를 지적한 노래. 

“Four Women” by Nina Simone

니나 시몬은 네 명의 여성을 설정하고 각각에게 이야기와 이름을 부여한 노래

이 노래 말고도 ain`t got no, i got life 같은 노래를 만듬.

페미니스트 찬송가같은 노래고 레슬리 고어 가수 자체가 되게 열정적인 페미니스트였음

“Bounce Your Boobies” by Rusty Warren

“Loosen the bra that binds you! Take it off if you feel like it! Come on, bounce your boobies. Here we go. Doesn’t that feel good?”

(여자들아 브래지어를 벗어던지고 자유를 만끽하자! 기분 존나 쩔거든!?)

“Cell Bound Blues” by Gertrude “Ma” Rainey (1924년 발매)

“I walked in my room the other night. My man walked in and began to fight. I took my gun in my right hand. ‘Hold him folks, I don’t wanna kill my man.’ When I did that he hit my ‘cross my head. First shot I fired my man fell dead.”

(내가 내 방으로 들어간 날 밤에 내 남자도 들어왔고 싸우기 시작했어. 내 오른 손엔 총이 들려 있었음. 아 난 내 남자를 죽이고 싶지 않았어. 그 새끼가 내 머리를 때렸을 때 한 방에 남친을 죽음으로 몰아넣었어~)

낙태약에 대한 노래

75년도에 발매

여성이 생식권을 조절할 수 있게 된 것에 대해 축하하는 기념으로 쓴 곡임 ㅋㅋㅋ

“Harper Valley P.T.A.” by Jeannie C. Riley

“Mrs. Johnson, you’re wearing your dresses way too high. It’s reported you’ve been drinkin’ and runnin’ round with men and goin’ wild. And we don’t believe you oughta be a bringin’ up your little girl this way.” 

옷을 야하게 입는 싱글맘에 대한 이야기. 

딸을 기르는 싱글맘이 옷을 야하게 입는 너는 딸을 키울 자격이 없다고 남자들은 말하고 여기에 대해 항변하는 게 노래 내용임.

“Sisters, O Sisters” by Yoko Ono 

“Freedom, O freedom, thats what we fight for. And yes, my dear sisters, we must learn to fight.”

(자유! 자유! 이게 우리가 싸우는 이유야, 여자들아 우리는 싸우는 법을 알아야 해)

“March of the Women” by Ethel Smyth and Cicely Hamilton

“Comrades, ye who have dared, first in the battle to strive and sorrow! Scorned, spurned, nought have ye cared, raising your eyes to a wider morrow. Ways that are weary, days that are dreary. Toil and pain by faith ye have borne. Hail, hail, victors ye stand, Wearing the wreath that the brave have worn!”

(이건 전쟁이야! 여자들아 들고 일어나 싸우자)

1910년대에 나온 노래로 서프러제트들이 사용한 노래

“I am woman, hear me roar. In numbers too big to ignore. And I know too much to go back an’ pretend ‘cause I’ve heard it all before. And I’ve been down there on the floor. No one’s ever gonna keep me down again.”

(난 여자야, 내가 부르짖는 것을 들어봐. 무시할 수 없을만큼 커. 알아 예전에는 이런 목소리들을 모르는 척 무시했었지. 그런데 이제는 그럴 수 없어. 아무도 나를 막을 수 없어. 다시는.)

노래 좋다...어릴 때부터 힐러리 더프 거 중에서도 rock this world, girl can rock 같은 곡 많이 들었는데 여기 있는 거 다 받고 띵곡들임ㅠㅠㅠ
