[An ordinary simple Christian kneels down /to say his prayers.

He is trying [to get into touch with God]. 

But if he is a Christian he knows that [what is prompting him to pray] is also God:

God, so to speak, inside him. 

But he also knows that all his real knowledge of God comes through Christ, the Man //who was God

—that Christ is standing /beside him, helping him to pray, praying for him. 

*  prompt ; encouragement to act, 격려, 고무, 고취, 촉진

* 부역 부정사구 /to say his prayers.

* 목적인 부정사구/명역 [to get into touch with God]. 

* 종절 주어인 의문사절 what is prompting him to pray 의문사+평서문 어순

You see [what is happening]. 

God is the thing //to which he is praying—the goal () he is trying to reach. 

God is also the thing inside him //which is pushing him on—the motive power. 

God is also the road or bridge //along which he is being pushed /to that goal.

* 목적인 의문사절 [what is happening]. 

* 형절/관대절  //to which he is praying (전치사 to는 관대절 소속이나 구식 영문법상 관계사 앞에 쓰임)

     //which he is praying to (the thing) 전목은 선행사와 동일하기에 생략되나 to는 안 생략됨

* 주의 ; 만약 관계사를 that으로 쓰면 to는 종절에 남음 ;  //that he is praying to 

* 앰대시로 추가된 명사구 —the goal (that) he is trying to reach, —the motive power. (the thing 수식)

* 타동사구 PUSH ON : 1. to continue doing something, especially when this is difficult: 밀고 나가다

So that [the whole threefold life of the three-personal Being] is actually going on /in that ordinary little bedroom

//where an ordinary man is saying his prayers. 

* 부사절 접속사 So that ; in order that (So that is far more common than in order that, more formal:)

* the three-personal Being 삼위일체 (Being은 '존재' 의미이나 하나님을 지칭하는 고유명사 의미로 쓰임)

*  going on ; to continue a certain state, condition, or activity. 상태의 지속/계속 진행

* 형절/관계부사절 ; where가 장소설명의 관계사로 사용됨 

The man is being caught up /into the higher kinds of life—what I called Zoe or spiritual life:

he is being pulled into God, by God, while still remaining himself.

* 수동진행 : be+being+pp ; is being caught up, is being pulled (진행형 구조로 한시적인 특성상태를 설명함), 

  I'm lazy. 나는 성격상 게으르다,   I'm being lazy. 성격상이 아닌 일시적으로 게으름을 피운다 

* Zoe ; a Greek word for life used multiple times in the Bible, means eternal life or “The God-kind of life.”

it is used to refer to the fullness of. life that comes from a relationship with God.

* 축약된 부사절 while (he is) still remaining himself.

해석 

[An ordinary simple Christian kneels down /to say his prayers.
한 평범하고 단순한 기독인이 자신의 기도를 드리려고 무릎 꿇는다
 
He is trying to get into touch with God. 
그는 하나님과 접촉하기를 시도하는 중이다
 
But if he is a Christian he knows that [what is prompting him to pray] is also God: God, so to speak, inside him. 
그러나 만약 그가 기독인이라면 그는 그가 기도하게끔 격려하는 그것/그분은 역시 하나님이심을 안다

God, so to speak, inside him. 

말하자면, 그 자신 안에 계시는 하나님이심을
 

* 마치 성부 하나님께서 베드로에게 그리스도께서 하나님의 아들이심을 알려 주시듯 기도도 하나님께서 하게하신다

But he also knows that all his real knowledge of God comes through Christ,

하나님께서 그가 기도를 드리는 대상이시다 -- 즉 그가 도달하려고 시도하는 그 목표이다
