Teachers should take a class every five years

  There are varied views on the question: Should teachers be educated every five years in order to get fresh information? Some people might say they do not have to take a class because they already have profuse amount of information related to their subjects while others might hold their own opinion against it. In line with this, I strongly agree with the opinion that claims the need for teachers to take a class regularlly for a couple of reasons: limitation for memorizing all the information and ever-changing information.

  To begin with, teachers are not able to memorize all the information, related to their subjects, perfectly because they are also humans. Some people may say they are able to keep all the important information in their memory due to the reason that they are constantly teaching students; nevertheless, that is not definitely true to me. As a matter of fact, every year, teachers are asked to teach students with the same grade only. Aslo, teaching contents for each grade are completely divided. Therefore, teachers do not care the contents for other grades for a whole year and then eventually forget them because they never try to review. To say a personal experience, teachers in my school are responsible for only one grade each. Therefore, anytime I ask them about materials out of the curriculum, their response is "I do not know". I have a lot of difficulty broading horizon of my knowledge. This case definitely emphasizes importance of education for teachers because their knowledge is limited.  

  To begin with, all the information in the world is constantly being modified. Some people may cast doubt to my opinion; nevertheless, I have one example to justify my idea. In the past, Pluto used to be regarded as a planet. However, a few years ago, Pluto turned out to be ineligible as a planet because of its less importance compared to other planets such as Venus and Saturn. Unless teachers take a class every a few years, they are not able to get fresh information such as the case of Pluto. Then, not only are they going to teach wrong information to their students, but their students are also going to keep studying with the wrong information and spread to their friends. That is why a constant class should be conducted to teachers as well as students.

  To summarize up the points made above, I belive that teachers should offer to learn new information in a five-year-rotation due to the reason that they soon forget what they are not responsible for and new discoveries are ever made. It is necessary to make the world full of accurate information.
