<정신적으로 흉년이 들었습니다- spiritually it is like a year of bad harvest>

지금은 미국 자체가 스스로 움직일 수 없고, 공산 진영도 스스로의 힘으로 움직일 수 없는 때입니다.

미국의 젊은이들 가운데 우리의 손으로 미국을 구할 뿐만 아니라 세계를 구하자는 젊은이들이 없고, 공산 진영의 젊은이들 가운데에도 우리의 손으로 소련을 구할 뿐만 아니라 세계를 구하자고 하는 젊은이들이 없다는 것입니다.

이 세계에 수많은 종교단체가 있지만 그 종교단체 가운데도 없다는 것입니다.

그러나 단 하나 우리 손이 아니면 썩어진 미국, 망해 들어가는 미국을 구할 수 없고, 공산세계도 구할 수 없고, 세계를 구할 수 없고, 하나님의 뜻을 이룰 수 없다는 무리가 있으니, 그 무리는 다름아닌 세상이 배척하고 세상으로부터 몰림받고 있는 무니(Moonie)들이라는 것입니다.

이런 놀라운 사실을 여러분은 알아야 합니다.

미국은 이제 미국 스스로 갈 수 있는 힘을 상실했습니다.

이것은 과학자, 철학자, 신학자 모두가 공통으로 느끼고 있는 것입니다.

기독교 자체로도 갈 수 없고, 그 누구도 스스로 갈 수 없는 엉망진창이 되어 버렸습니다.

배는 부르지만 정신적으로 흉년이 들었습니다.

풀 한 포기 뜯어먹을 것 없게 되어 버렸습니다.

이러한 사막지대에 풀이 나 있고 샘물이 솟아나는 하나의 오아시스가 있으니, 그것이 바로 무니(Moonie)의 집단이라고 나는 생각하는 것입니다.

In this age neither America nor the communist world can move by themselves.

Among the young people in the United States, there is no one who is trying with his or her own hands to save not only America, but the whole world. Even among the young people in the communist realm, there is no one who is trying by their own hands to save not only the Soviet Union, but the whole world.

Neither is there anyone doing this in the many religious groups in this world.

There is only one group which says that this decaying, dying America, communism, and the whole world can be saved and even God's will realized through their own hands.

That group is nothing other than the Unificationists, who are being persecuted and shut out from society.

You should know this surprising fact.

The United States has now lost the power to extend itself.

This is felt uniformly by all scientists, philosophers and theologians.

America is in such a terrible situation that neither its Christians nor anyone else can find their way.

Even though their stomachs can be filled, spiritually it is like a year of bad harvest.

Spiritually, they do not have as much as a bunch of grass to eat.

If there is an oasis flowing with spring water in this spiritual desert, I would think it indeed must be the Unification Church.
