그는 메비우스라는 필명으로 활동하며,  상상력이 풍부하고 초현실적이며 거의 추상적인 화풍으로 그린 공상과학 및 판타지 만화를 통해 전 세계적인 명성을 얻었다.

이러한 작품으로는 『아르자크』와 『제리 코넬리우스의 밀폐된 차고』 등이 있다.

또한 그는 아방가르드 영화 감독 알레한드로 호도로프스키와 협력하여,  『듄』의 영화 각색작과 만화 시리즈 『인칼』을 작업하기도 했다.

As Mœbius, he achieved worldwide renown with science-fiction and fantasy comics drawn in a highly imaginative, surreal, almost abstract style. 

These works include Arzach and the Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius.

 He also collaborated with avant garde filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky for an unproduced adaptation of Dune and the comic-book series The Incal.
