2. 세계문화체육대전은 하나님께 바치는 거룩한 식전

본인이 하늘의 소명을 받은 16세 때부터 10년간을 바로 이 문제의 해결을 위해 혈혈단신으로 진리를 탐구한 결과가 오늘날 여러분이 통일원리, 하나님주의, 또는 두익사상이라고 부르는 새로운 진리입니다.

본인은 이 진리를 1945년 8월 15일 한국이 일제로부터 광복한 때부터 이 지상에 처음으로 발표하기 시작했습니다. 본인은 이 진리를 발표했기 때문에 그동안 엄청난 핍박과 비난을 감내해야 했습니다.

본인이 생애에 걸쳐 여섯 번이나 투옥을 당했던 사실을 상기해 보십시오. 여러분은 그 비난과 핍박의 도가 어떠했는지를 짐작하고도 남을 것입니다.

통일원리를 발표한 지 47년째가 되는 금년에 베풀어지는 제1회 세계문화체육대전은 그동안 신과 인류의 해방과 평화세계의 구현을 위해서 홀로 씨를 뿌리고 가꾸어 온 본인의 모든 실적을 만천하에 드러내어 하나님께 바치는 거룩한 식전인 것입니다.

본인이 생애를 두고 진력해 온 모든 내용은 부모 되시는 하나님 앞에 세계 인류는 한 형제자매요 한 가족임을 확인하는 것입니다. 인종이나 민족과 국경을 초월하여 인류는 부모이신 하나님을 중심한 식구인 것입니다.

2. 世界文化体育大典は神様に捧げる神聖な式典

私が天の召命を受けた十六歳(数え)の時から十年間、正にこの問題の解決のために、頼る所のない孤独な身で真理を探究した結果が、今日、「統一原理」、「神主義」、または「頭翼思想」と呼ぶ新しい真理です。

私は、この真理を一九四五年八月十五日、韓国が日帝から解放されたときに、初めてこの地上に発表し始めました。私は、この真理を発表したために、これまで途方もない迫害と非難を甘受しなければならなかったのです。

私が生涯にわたり六度も投獄された事実を思い起こしてみてください。皆様は、その非難と迫害の度合いがどれほどのものだったかを推し量るすべもないでしょう。

「統一原理」を発表してから四十七年目になる今年、開催される第一回「世界文化体育大典」は、これまで神様と人類の解放と平和世界の具現のために、独りで種を蒔き育ててきた私のすべての実績を満天下に現し、神様にお捧げする神聖な式典なのです。

私が生涯をかけて尽力してきたすベての内容は、父母なる神様のみ前に世界人類は一つの兄弟姉妹であり、一つの家族であることを確認するものです。人種や民族、国境を超越して、人類は父母であられる神様を中心とした家族なのです。

2. The World Culture and Sports Festival is dedicated to God

After I received my calling at the age of sixteen, I spent years searching for the answer to precisely the problem of how to bring salvation to humankind. The result of that lonely search for truth is the new expression‎‎ of God’s truth that you refer to today as the Unification Principle, Godism or head-wing thought.

On August 15, 1945, the day Korea was liberated from imperial Japan, I began proclaiming this truth on the earth. For proclaiming these teachings, I faced tremendous persecution and attack. Think for a moment about the fact that in my life I was imprisoned six times. This alone is enough to tell you how harsh the attacks against me have been.

The first World Culture and Sports Festival, which is being held during the 47th year since I began proclaiming the Unification Principle, is a holy celebration. It is an occasion to let the entire world see, and to offer to God, the harvest reaped from the seeds I have sown and nurtured for the liberation of God and humanity and for the realization of world peace.

Everything I have strived to achieve during my life has been for the purpose of confirm‎‎ing the fact that ail people in the world are brothers and sisters before God, our common Parent. When we center on God, our common ties as members of the global family transcend our differences based on race, nationality and international boundaries.
