This hotline is designed to make voting a comfortable and empowering experience for all our community members, ensuring that their voices are heard at the ballot box. <br>NCAAT is hiring callers to work our in-language voter information hotline in 2024. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about answering community members' questions regarding voting in different languages. We are looking for candidates who are fluent or comfortable conversing with community members in the following Pan-Asian languages: Arabic, Bangla, Bengali, Bunong, Cantonese, Gujarati, Hindi, Hmong, Karen, Korean, Laotian, Mandarin, Marathi, Nepalese, Pashto, Punjabi, Tagalog, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Vietnamese, <br>Hotline callers will be paid an hourly rate of $20 and must be available to answer the phone while the polls are open. Ideal candidates must commit their availability in person for the training and at least one shift listed below:<br>Training, November 4: 6:00PM - 8:00PM<br>Election Day, Tuesday, November 5: Shift 1 6:00AM - 10:30AM; Shift 2 10:30AM - 3:30PM; Shift 3 3:30PM - 8:00PM <br>Selected applicants may be scheduled for a 15-minute call as the final part of the application process. <br>The position is in person and will meet at our offices in downtown Raleigh.
