The Lord Will Fight For You(Exodus 14:1~14)
Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”(13~14)
Hymn #349 Am I a Soldier of the Cross
God led Israel to the Red Sea to give them what was real. With the sea in front and the Egyptian army chasing from behind, they faced a hopeless situation. Two groups of people appeared during this time. Most complained against God because there was only one way and it was to cross the Red Sea. If not, they would have died there. Yet a small number prayed. God let them experience the splitting of the Red Sea. After that, every road they walked was already given. There was the reason why God led Israel to the Red Sea. It was to completely destroy the Egyptian army, to plant faith in the Israelites, and to spread the news of His power across the land. God gave the Israelites true grace and punished the wicked to the end(Exodus 14:1, 3~4). Moses knew this and told the people to witness the salvation of the Lord.
1. Covenant - Promise
The Exodus and the entry into Canaan were part of God’s absolute plan. God gave His covenant as a vision ahead of time. He promised to give them the land of Canaan(Exodus 3:8). Moses heard this from his mother(Exodus 2:1~10). God also told them to go and offer the blood sacrifice and promised that His mighty hand would be with them(Exodus 3:18~20). God had spoken of all these things before they happened. He also gave them proof(Exodus 14:1, 2, 4)
2. Experience of Power
Therefore, you must experience God’s power. Egypt experienced God through destruction, but Israel experienced Him through answers. Many people experience God through the sufferings they face, but you must experience Him through His Word. Many complain against God but you must experience His power through prayer.
3. Assurance of the Future
Israel had to walk the long and painful path of the wilderness. There they had to prepare everything by God’s power. The key to this was the tabernacle because they would soon need to conquer Canaan.
Now you must reflect on the footsteps of your life. The message of the 40 years in the wilderness was thel tabernacle. The message of the Early Church was the three courtyards. Today, your message is to save the 237-5000 tribes and the churches that have closed.

[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, may Your covenant be imprinted in me. Help me see the works of the Red Sea splitting. May the works equivalent to the Red Sea splitting take place in my work, studies, and field. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
