11 I am the good shepherd. 나는 어진 목자입니다. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 어진 목자는 양들을 위하여 자기 목숨을 내놓습니다. 12 A hired man, who is not a shepherd 삯꾼은 목자가 아닙니다. and whose sheep are not his own, 그리고 양들도 자기의 것이 아닙니다. sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, 그래서 삯꾼은, 이리가 오는 것을 보면, 양들을 버리고 도망갑니다. and the wolf catches and scatters them. 그러면 이리는 양들을 물어가고 흩어지게 합니다. 13 This is because 이러한 이유는 he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep. 그가 삯꾼이어서, 양들에 관심이 없기 때문입니다. 14 I am the good shepherd, 나는 어진 목자입니다. and I know mine and mine know me, 나는 내 양들을 알고, 내 양들도 나를 압니다. 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; 마치 아버지께서 나를 아시고, 내가 아버지를 아는 것과 같습니다. and I will lay down my life for the sheep. 나는 양들을 위하여 내 목숨을 내놓습니다. 16 I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. 내게는 이 우리에 들어 있지 않은 양들도 있습니다. These also I must lead, 나는 그들도 데려와야 합니다. and they will hear my voice, 그들 역시 내 목소리를 듣게 될 것이며 and there will be one flock, one shepherd. 한 목자에 한 양떼가 될 것입니다. 17 This is why the Father loves me, 아버지께서 나를 사랑하시는 것은 because I lay down my life 내가 내 목숨을 내놓기 때문입니다. in order to take it up again. 이는 내가 그 목숨을 다시 얻기 위한 것입니다. 18 No one takes it from me, 누군가가 내게서 목숨을 빼앗는 것이 아니라, but I lay it down on my own. 내가 스스로 목숨을 내놓는 것입니다. I have power to lay it down, and power to take it up again. 나는 목숨을 내놓을 권한도 있고, 다시 얻을 권한도 있습니다. This command I have received from my Father." 이러한 명령을, 나는 나의 아버지에게서 받았습니다."
