Elementary Teachings and the Place of Maturity (Heb 6)

God made promises in the Old Testament, and He came with Jesus according to the promises. Why didn’t [people] believe? They didn’t know or believe the promised prophecies. Whose responsibility is it? It is the responsibility of the pastors.

While preaching the word of promise—the prophecy—Old Testament prophets, Jesus’ disciples, and the family members of the 12 tribes of the second coming today are again imprisoned like in Mt 10. This, too, is a prophecy to be fulfilled; that is why we are seeing it being fulfilled now.

The Old Testament prophets, Jesus, his disciples, and Paul are watching us today. We’re the actual entities of the New Testament prophecy. Jesus had all the authority to judge, but he didn’t judge and instead, bore the cross. Revelation 2:17—the one who has the authority to judge is sitting in prison and fulfilling the prophecy.

○ The authority to judge [that the one who overcomes] received from God

In Rv 2-3, there are things [Jesus] promised to give to the one who fights overcomes Satan’s pastor. The promise of what will be given if one fights with Satan’s pastor and overcomes is recorded in Rv 2-3. Have you ever read them? I will introduce a few of them.

If one overcomes, [Jesus] said he will give the food of eternal life (Jn 6:51-57)—the hidden manna—and the white stone to judge. Jesus was the living stone (1Pt 2:4). Also, he said he will give the iron scepter to rule all nations and the morning star to the one who overcomes. And he said he will record on him the name of God, the name of the new Jerusalem coming down from heaven, and the new name of Jesus. Also, the promise is that the one who overcomes will sit on Jesus’ throne with him.

These are just a few things that [I have] pointed out. As could be seen, the one who overcomes has great authority and position. This is something [the one who overcomes] received from God. Then people shouldn’t behave frivolously without thought in front of the one who overcomes. In other words, God, Jesus, and the kingdom of heaven come down to the one who overcomes and become one with him, so people shouldn’t treat him carelessly.

If he judges with the authority he received, he must carry out the same judgment as the times of Noah and Lot. Otherwise, it will only be him personally bragging about authority. Just like Mt 7.

What kind of person is a fool in the world of faith? One who does not know the word of God, the Bible, is an ignorant fool. Whether he is a pastor or a saint, he is someone who doesn’t know the Bible, and he becomes more wicked than a non-believer. If a believer does not receive the Holy Spirit, an evil spirit will go in and pretend to be a believer.
