아담 해와의 아들인 가인과 아벨로부터 싸움이 시작되었습니다. 그래서 이 세계를 이렇게 망쳐 놓았습니다. 그것은 그 후손들이 싸움을 하는 세계를 만들었다는 것입니다. 이것을 탕감복귀해야 됩니다. 그러기 위해서는 36대의 아들딸들이 하나님 앞에서 싸우지 않고 하나되었다는 조건을 세워야 합니다. 그래서 가인 아벨로 분립한 수, 즉 36의 2배수인 72가정을 세운 것입니다. 이 72가정이 세워짐으로써 가인과 아벨이 싸우지 않고 사위기대를 이룰 수 있는 역사적인 선조의 터전을 닦은 것입니다. 사탄을 방비할 수 있는 절대적인 기준이 세워졌다는 것입니다. アダムとエバの息子であるカインとアベルから闘いが始まりました。それで、この世界をこのように台無しにしてしまいました。それは、その子孫たちが闘争の世界をつくったということです。これを蕩減復帰しなければなりません。そのためには、三十六代の息子、娘たちが、神様のみ前で、闘わずに一つになったという条件を立てなければなりません。ですから、カインとアベルに分立した数、すなわち三十六の二倍の数である七十二家庭を立てたのです。この七十二家庭が立てられることによって、カインとアベルが闘わずに四位基台をつくり上げる、歴史的な先祖の基盤を築いたのです。サタンに対して防備できる絶対的な基準が立てられたというのです。(19-121)

Conflict was initiated by Adam and Eve's sons, Cain and Abel. They passed their spiritual corruption on to their descendants and so created a world of strife, bringing the world to ruin. All this needs to be rectified through paying indemnity. As part of this, sons and daughters of 36 generations have to establish the condition of having united in front of God without conflict. This is why I established the 72 Couples, which is 2 times 36, with the 72 being divided into Cain and Abel. By establishing these 72 Couples, I built a historic ancestral foundation on which Cain and Abel can build the four-position foundation without fighting. This means I established an absolute realm of reconciliation that can be a bulwark against Satan. (019-121)

1962年6月4日、青波洞の全本部教会で72家庭祝福結婚式が開かれた。
1962년 6월 4일 청파동 전본부교회에서 72가정 축복결혼식이 열렸다.
The 72 Couples Marriage Blessing Ceremony was held on June 4, 1962, at the original Cheongpa-dong headquarters church in Seoul.

祝福式は午前6時20分から午後5時30分頃まで11時間にわたって行われた。
축복식은 오전 6시 20분부터 오후 5시 30분경까지 장장 11시간에 걸쳐 진행됐다.
The blessing ceremony lasted for over 11 hours from 6:20 am to 5:30 pm.

真の父母様は36家庭が人類の先祖再臨復活型ならば、その倍数である72家庭はカイン·アベル家庭的復帰型だとおっしゃった。
참부모님께서는 36가정이 인류 조상 재림부활형이라면, 그 배수인 72가정은 가인・아벨 가정적 복귀형이라고 말씀하셨다.
True Parents explained that if the 36 couples stand for resurrection through second coming of the first human ancestors, the 72 couples- the multiple number of 36—stand for the restoration of Cain and Abel's family.

72家庭は36家庭とともにイエス様の12弟子と70門徒を復帰し、イスラエル民族代表の基本数を見つけた兄の家庭である。
72가정은 36가정과 함께 예수님의 12제자와 70문도를 복귀해 이스라엘 민족 대표 기본수를 찾은 형의 가정이다.
The 72 couples, together with the previously blessed 36 couples, symbolizes the 12 disciples and 70 apostles of Jesus, thus fulfilled the restoration of the representative family of Israel through the blessing.

72家庭祝福式から合同結婚式執行委員会が結成され、祝福結婚式の趣旨書が発表された。
72가정 축복식부터 합동결혼식 집행위원회가 결성되고 축복결혼식 취지서가 발표됐다.
From this blessing, an “intercultural marriage blessing planning committee” was formed, and a booklet explaining the purpose of the blessing was published.

また、初めて聖酒式が挙行された祝福式でもある。
또한 처음으로 성주식이 거행된 축복식이기도 하다.
The Holy Wine Ceremony was held for the first time at this blessing ceremony as well.

72家庭は祝福式の数日後に新婚旅行に出かけたが、その目的地は各自の伝道の任地であった。
72 가정은 축복식 며칠 후 신혼여행을 떠났는데 그 목적지는 각자의 전도 임지였다.
The 72 couples left for their 'honeymoon' few days after the ceremony, which was to each of their designated places for witnessing mission.
