Hymn #304 The Love of God is Greater Far(Unified Hymn 404)
When the Israelites were traveling through the wilderness, they quarreled because there was no water. When the Israelites tried to stone Moses, God told him to take the staff he had brought from Egypt and go back to Mt. Horeb. There, water would come out of the rock, and he was told to bring the elders of Israel and pray with them(Exodus 17:5~6). Likewise, God gives His Word to the elders so they can raise new believers. The Remnants must receive guidance from these elders before reaching 300% in their businesses. Moreover, the elders must also receive the most important answers in the field of evangelism and missions. As leaders of the church, they must communicate with the Lord’s servants and understand everything from beginning to end.
1. Genesis
The cause and answer to life’s problems are in the book of Genesis. From the beginning, God commanded world evangelization, and Abraham was the one who understood these words(Genesis 12:1~3). This covenant was fulfilled through Joseph(Genesis 37:1~11). Joseph became prime minister and influenced the entire world(Genesis 45:1~5).
2. Exodus & Leviticus
The ones who firmly held the covenant of Exodus were Moses and the elders. Coming out from the wilderness was God’s plan, and the elders were those who relayed the blessing of coming out of darkness. The book of Leviticus speaks of the tabernacle, which held the Ark of the Covenant. Every part of the tabernacle pointed to Christ, and from this, worship was established.
3. Numbers & Deuteronomy
Before entering Canaan, the 12 tribes were chosen to survey the 12 regions. Joshua and Caleb reported faithfully, and the elders stood with them and confirmed their decision. In addition, the book of Deuteronomy helped imprint the facts upon the Israelites of all that had taken place before entering Canaan(Deuteronomy 6:4~9).
Every crisis they faced before entering Canaan became a testimony. When crises came, Satan was bound and darkness disappeared. The Red Sea, the Jordan River, Jericho, the battle with the Amorites, and the hill counπy of Anak were all evidence of this.
