The "Unofficial" Rules of BEDROOM GOLF(침실 골프의 비공인 규칙)

[나벌]

1. Each player shall furnish his own equipment for play -- normally one club and two balls.

(각 선수는 자신의 장비만 사용해야 한다 – 보통 크럽 한 개와 공 두개.)

2. Play on a course must be approved by the owner of the hole.

(코스에 나간 선수는 홀 주인의 허락을 받아야만 한다.)

3. Unlike outdoor golf, the object is to get the club in the hole and keep the balls out of the hole.

(실외 골프와 달리, 홀에는 클럽을 집어 넣고 공은 밖에 놔 두어야 한다.)

4. For most effective play, the club should have a firm shaft. Course owners are permitted to check shaft stiffness before play begins.

(가장 운동을 잘 하려면 클럽의 채를 아주 단단하게 해야 하고 코스 주인은 시합 전에 골프채가 빳빳한지 확인할 수 있도록 허락한다.)

5. Course owners reserve the right to restrict the length of the club to avoid damage to the hole.

(코스 주인은 홀의 손상을 방지하기 위해 클럽의 길이를 제한할 권리가 있다.)

6. The object of the game is to take as many strokes as necessary until the course owner is satisfied that the play is complete. Failure to do so may result in being denied permission to play the course again.

(시합 방법은 코스 주인이 시합을 끝내도 좋다고 만족할 때까지 되도록 많은 횟수만큼 스트록을 하는 식이다.)

 7. It is considered bad form to begin playing the hole immediately upon arrival at the course. The experienced player will normally take time to admire the entire course, with special attention to well formed bunkers.

 (코스에 도착하자 마자 홀을 공략하는 방식은 경기에 서툰 방식이다. 경험이 많은 경기자는 전체 코스를 전반적으로 음미하고 경탄하면서 시간을 끌며, 특히 잘 조성된 홀 주변의 벙커 등을 주의해서 관찰한다. )

8. Players are cautioned not to mention other courses they have play on or are currently playing to the owner of the course being played. Upset course owners have been known to damage a player's equipment for this reason.

(경기자는 경기 중에 경기를 해 본적이 있던 다른 코스들에 대해 현재 경기중인 코스 주인에게 언급하는 것은 금물이다. 이 비슷한 이유 때문에 화가 난 코스 주인이 경기자의 장비를 파손시킨 일이 있다고 알려져 있다. )

9. Players are encouraged to have proper rain gear along, just in case.

 (만약의 경우에 대비하여 경기자는 클럽용 비옷을 지참할 것을 권장한다.)

10. Players should assure themselves that their match has been properly scheduled, particularly when a new course is being played on for the first time. Previous players have been known to become irate if they discover someone else playing what they consider to be a private course. This is not the case of public cource.

(경기자는 항상 경기일정이 적절한 지 확인해야만 하는 데, 특히 새로운 코스를 맨 처음 접하게 될 때 주의해야 한다. 어느 코스는 특정 회원 전용 코스로서 코스 방문 시 회원에게 들키면 박살이 날 수가 있다.  퍼블릭 코스는 예외다.)

11. Players should not assume a course is in shape for play at all times. Some players may be embarrassed if they find the course to be temporarily under repair. Players are advised to be extremely tactful in this situation. More advanced players will find alternate means of play when this is the case.

(경기자는 아무 때나 코스에서 경기를 할 수 있다고 생각해선 안 된다. 때론 경기자들이 코스가 수리 중인걸 보고 당황하기도 하는 데 이런 땐 슬기롭게 대처하는 방법을 찾아 보기를 권한다. 기교가 높은 경기자들은 이런 때 경기하는 방법을 알기도 한다.)

12. Players are advised to obtain the course owner's permission before attempting to play the back nine.

(경기자는 후반 나인 홀을 돌기 전에 코스 주인의 허락을 얻는 것을 권장한다.)

 13. Slow play is encouraged; however, players should be prepared to proceed at a quicker pace, at least temporarily, at the course owner's request.

(경기는 천천히 진행하길 권한다. 그러나 코스 주인의 요구가 있을 시 적어도 잠시 동안만이라도 신속한 동작으로 경기를 처리하는 기술을 가지는 게 좋다.)

14. It is considered outstanding performance, time permitting, to play the same hole several times in one match.

(능숙한 경기자는 한 경기에서 시간이 허락 하는 한 같은 홀을 여러 차례 공략하는 전략을 구사한다.)

15. The course owner will be the sole judge of who is the best player.

(코스 주인만이 훌륭한 경기자를 가려내는 유일한 판정관이다.)

** Players are advised to think twice before considering membership at a given course. Additional assessments may be levied by the course owner and the rules are subject to change. For this reason, many players prefer to continue to play several different courses.

(어떤 코스의 회원권을 가질 것인지 여부는 반드시 심사 숙고할 필요가 있다. 추가 자금이 더 필요할 지 여부는 순전히 코스 주인 맘이고 경기 규칙도 바뀔 수 있다. 이런 이유로 해서 많은 경기자들이 여러 코스들을 돌면서 경기를 즐긴 것을 선호 한다고 한다.)

그렇지요....ㅎㅎㅎㅎ....필드골프야 잘 못해도 그린피만 날리면 되지만 ...침실골프 잘못하면 아침반찬 가지수가 줄어들고 형편없는 대우받는다....ㅎㅎㅎ
