신명기32장 말씀입니다.

1. 오 하늘들이여, 너희는 귀를 기울이라. 내가 말하리라. 오 땅이여, 내 입의 말들을 들을지어다.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2. 내 가르침이 비처럼 내리며 내 말이 이슬처럼 맺히되 연한 채소 위에 내리는 가는 비와 풀밭에 내리는 소나기

    같으리니

My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

3. 이는 내가 {주}의 이름을 널리 알릴 것이기 때문이라. 너희는 우리 [하나님]께 위대함을 돌릴지어다.

Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

4. 그분은 반석이시요 그분의 일은 완전하니 그분의 모든 길은 공의이니라. 그분은 진실하고 불법이 없으신

    [하나님]이시니 의로우시고 올바르시도다.

[He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he.

5. 그들이 스스로 부패하였은즉 그들의 점은 그분의 자녀들의 점이 아니니 그들은 사악하며 비뚤어진 세대로다.

They have corrupted themselves, their spot [is] not [the spot] of his children: [they are] a perverse and crooked generation. 

6. 오 어리석고 지혜롭지 못한 백성이여, 너희가 {주}께 이같이 보답하느냐? 그분은 너를 사신 네 아버지가 아니냐?

    그분께서 너를 만들고 굳게 세우지 아니하셨느냐?

Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? [is] not he thy father [that] hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

7. 옛날을 기억하라. 많은 세대의 햇수를 깊이 생각하라. 네 아버지에게 물으라. 그가 네게 보여 줄 것이요,

    네 장로들에게 물으라. 그들이 네게 말해 주리라.

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. 

8. [지극히 높으신 이]께서 민족들에게 그들의 상속물을 나누어 주실 때에, 그분께서 아담의 아들들을 구분한 때에

    이스라엘 자손의 수에 따라 백성들의 경계를 정하셨나니

When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

9. 이는 {주}의 몫이 자신의 백성이기 때문이라. 야곱은 그분의 상속 유산 몫이로다.

For the LORDS portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of his inheritance. 

10. 그분께서 그를 사막에서와 황폐함이 부르짖는 광야에서 찾아내시고 인도하시며 가르치시고 자신의 눈동자같이

      지키셨도다.

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 

11. 독수리가 자기 둥지를 휘저으며 자기 새끼 위에 너풀거리고 자기 날개를 펴서 새끼들을 받으며 자기 날개 위에

      그것들을 업는 것 같이

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

12. {주}께서 홀로 그를 인도하셨고 그분과 함께한 이방 신이 없었도다.

[So] the LORD alone did lead him, and [there was] no strange god with him.

13. 그분께서 그로 하여금 땅의 높은 곳들에서 타고 다니게 하사 밭의 소출을 먹게 하시고 반석에서 꿀을 빨게 하시며

      또 부싯돌 반석에서 기름을 빨게 하시고

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

14.암소의 버터와 양의 젖과 어린양의 기름과 바산 품종의 숫양과 염소와 기름진 밀을 먹게 하셨으므로 또 네가 포도의

     순수한 피를 마셨도다.

Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

15. 그러나 여수룬이 기름지게 되매 발로 찼도다. 네가 기름지고 비대하고 기름으로 덮이매 그때에 그가 자기를 만드신

      [하나님]을 버리고 자기를 구원하신 반석을 소홀히 여겼도다.

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered [with fatness]; then he forsook God [which] made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

16. 그들이 이방 신들로 그분의 질투를 일으키고 가증한 것들로 그분의 분노를 일으켰도다.

They provoked him to jealousy with strange [gods], with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17. 그들이 [하나님]께 희생물을 드리지 아니하고 마귀들에게 드렸으니 곧 자기들이 알지 못하던 신들, 너희 조상들이

      두려워하지 아니하던 신들, 새로이 일어난 새로운 신들에게 드렸도다.

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new [gods that] came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. 

18. 너를 낳은 반석을 네가 마음에 두지 아니하고 너를 지은 [하나님]을 네가 잊었도다.

Of the Rock [that] begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

19. {주}께서 그것을 보시고 그들을 몹시 싫어하셨으니 이는 그분의 아들딸들이 그분을 격노케 하였기 때문이라.

And when the LORD saw [it], he abhorred [them], because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. 

20. 이에 그분께서 이르시되, 내가 내 얼굴을 그들에게 숨기고 그들의 종말이 어떠한가 보리라, 하셨으니 이는 그들이

      심히 거역하는 세대요, 믿음이 없는 자녀들이기 때문이라.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be]: for they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith.

21. 그들이 [하나님]이 아닌 것으로 나를 움직여 질투하게 하며 자기들의 헛된 것들로 내 분노를 일으켰으니 나도

      백성이 아닌 자들로 그들을 움직여 질투하게 하며 어리석은 민족으로 그들의 분노를 일으키리라.

They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22. 내가 분노하는 중에 불이 일어나 가장 낮은 지옥까지 태우고 땅과 땅의 소출을 소멸시키며 산들의 기초들도 불붙게

      하리라.

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. 

23. 내가 그들 위에 재앙을 무더기로 쌓으며 그들에게 내 화살들을 쏘리로다.

I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

24. 그들이 굶주림으로 불타며 뜨거운 열기와 쓴 파멸로 삼켜지리로다. 또 내가 짐승의 이와 티끌 속의 뱀들의 독을

      그들에게 보내리로다.

[They shall be] burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust. 

25. 밖에서는 칼이, 안에서는 두려움이 청년과 처녀와 젖먹이와 백발노인까지 멸하리로다.

The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling [also] with the man of gray hairs. 

26. 내가 말하기를, 내가 그들을 구석구석으로 흩어 사람들 가운데서 그들에 대한 기억이 끊어지게 하리라, 하였다마는

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

27. 원수의 진노를 두려워하였노라. 그들의 대적들이 이상하게 행동하며 말하기를, 우리 손이 높은 까닭이요,

      {주}가 이 모든 것을 행하지 아니하였다, 할까 염려하였노니

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, [and] lest they should say, Our hand [is] high, and the LORD hath not done all this. 

28. 그들은 분별없는 민족이며 그들 안에는 명철이 없도다.

For they [are] a nation void of counsel, neither [is there any] understanding in them.

29. 그들이 지혜가 있어서 이것을 깨닫고 자기들의 종말을 깊이 생각하였더라면 얼마나 좋았으리요!

O that they were wise, [that] they understood this, [that] they would consider their latter end!

30. 그들의 반석이 그들을 팔지 아니하고 {주}가 그들을 가두지 아니하였을진대 어찌 한 사람이 천 명을 뒤쫓으며 두

      사람이 만 명을 도망하게 하리요?

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

31. 그들의 반석은 우리의 반석과 같지 아니하니 우리 원수들도 스스로 그렇게 판단하는도다.

For their rock [is] not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves [being] judges.

32. 그들의 포도나무는 소돔의 포도나무요, 고모라의 밭의 소산이라. 그들의 포도는 쓸개 포도니 그들의 송이는 쓰며

For their vine [is] of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes [are] grapes of gall, their clusters [are] bitter: 

33. 그들의 포도주는 용들의 독이요, 독사들의 지독한 독이라.

Their wine [is] the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

34. 이것이 내게 쌓이고 내 곳간 속에 밀봉된 채 있지 아니한가?

[Is] not this laid up in store with me, [and] sealed up among my treasures?

35. 원수 갚는 일과 보복하는 일은 내게 속하였으니 그들의 발이 정한 때에 미끄러지리라. 그들의 재앙의 날이

      가까우므로 그들에게 닥칠 일들이 속히 일어나리라.

To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

36. 이는 {주}께서 자신의 백성을 심판하시며 그들의 권능이 떠나가고 갇힌 자나 남은 자가 없음을 보시고 자신의

      종들로 인하여 뜻을 돌이키실 것이기 때문이라.

For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that [their] power is gone, and [there is] none shut up, or left. 

37. 그분께서 말씀하시기를, 그들의 신들이 어디 있으며 그들이 신뢰하던 그들의 반석이 어디 있느냐?

And he shall say, Where [are] their gods, [their] rock in whom they trusted,

38. 그들의 희생물의 기름을 먹고 그들의 음료 헌물의 포도즙을 마신 자들 곧 그들이 일어나 너희를 돕게 하고 너희

      보호자가 되게 하라.

Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [and] drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, [and] be your protection. 

39. 이제는 나 곧 내가 그인 줄을 알라. 나와 견줄 신이 없도다. 내가 죽이기도 하고 살리기도 하며 상하게도 하고

      낫게도 하나니 내 손에서 능히 건져 낼 자가 없도다.

See now that I, [even] I, [am] he, and [there is] no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither [is there any] that can deliver out of my hand.

40. 내가 하늘을 향해 내 손을 들고 말하기를, 나는 영원히 사노라, 하노니

For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

41. 내가 나의 번쩍이는 칼을 갈며 내 손에 심판을 쥐고 내 원수들에게 보복하며 나를 미워하는 자들에게 보응하리라.

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

42. 내가 내 화살들로 하여금 피에 취하게 하고 내 칼로 하여금 고기를 삼키게 하리니 곧 그 원수에게 복수하기 시작한

      때부터 죽임 당한 자들과 포로 된 자들의 피에 취하게 하리라, 하시리로다.

I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; [and that] with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

43.오 너희 민족들아, 그분의 백성과 함께 기뻐하라. 그분께서 자신의 종들의 피를 복수하사 자신의 대적들에게 원수를

     갚으시고 자신의 땅과 백성에게 긍휼을 베푸시리로다.

Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, [and] to his people. 

44. 모세와 눈의 아들 호세아가 와서 이 노래의 모든 말씀을 백성의 귀에 말하니라.

And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun. 

45. 모세가 이 모든 말씀을 온 이스라엘에게 말하기를 마치고

And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

46. 그들에게 이르되, 내가 이 날 너희 가운데서 증언한 모든 말을 너희 마음에 두고 너희 자녀들에게 명령하여 이

      율법의 모든 말씀을 지켜 행하게 하라.

And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

47. 그것은 너희 생명이므로 너희에게 헛된 것이 아니니라. 이 일을 통해 너희가 요르단을 건너가 소유할 땅에서 너희

      날들을 길게 하리라.

For it [is] not a vain thing for you; because it [is] your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong [your] days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

48. 바로 그 날에 {주}께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되,

And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,

49. 너는 여리고 맞은편 모압 땅에 있는 이 아바림 산에 올라 느보 산에 이르러 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 소유로 주는

      가나안 땅을 바라보라.

Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, [unto] mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, that [is] over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:

50. 네 형 아론이 호르 산에서 죽어 자기 백성에게로 거두어진 것 같이 네가 올라가는 이 산에서 네가 죽어 네

      백성에게로 거두어지리니

And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

51. 너희가 신 광야의 므리바가데스의 물들에서 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 나를 대적하고 범법하여 이스라엘 자손

      한가운데서 나를 거룩히 구별하지 아니하였느니라.

Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel. 

52. 네가 네 앞에 있는 땅을 바라다보기는 하려니와 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 땅에 거기에 들어가지는 못하리라,

      하시니라.

Yet thou shalt see the land before [thee]; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
