C: You're saying that when we set off on our hike, we weren't on the A.T. yet?
J: Yeah, which is why so many people drove out on the first day. it can be pretty disheartening.
C: I think this hike is going to put us through the wringer./ J: Let's try not to think about it.
D: I see you're getting a lot of text messages today. Is there a new man in your life?
L: Don't laugh at me, but I signed up for the Love Maybe online dating service.
D: Why would I laugh? I'm happy to see you're putting yourself out there. How is it going so far?
