Some of the schools in the Joseon Dynasty included Sungkyunkwan, a modern university, Seoul's four-part school, and the local high school. Sungkyunkwan, the highest school district established during the reign of King Taejo, and four school districts in Seoul and a local protest. If Sungkyunkwan, the highest government-affiliated school established during the reign of King Taejo, and the four-part school were established in Seoul, Hyanggyo was a secondary school established in the nation's wealth, neck, military and prefecture.
The first incense burner started in Gunhyeon, including 12 items from the Goryeo Dynasty, where a doctor and a professor were sent to train the students. According to the records of the Goryeo Dynasty's five-year-old school building, Hyanggyo seems to have been built since then. It was during the Joseon Dynasty that the Confucian education system was active. King Taejo ordered Yi Seong-gye to build a Confucian school in accordance with the principles of the first class of the first class of the first class of the first class of the Joseon Dynasty.
Kwangju Hyanggyo was first built under Jangwonbong Peak of Mudeungsan Mountain in the sixth year of King Taejo's reign. However, due to the frequent appearance of tigers, they are transported to the east gate of the castle. However, Hyanggyo, which was located in the castle, must have been uncomfortable in many ways. According to [Gwangju Town] published in 1879, "There used to be a bridge inside the castle, but the ground was low and narrow, and the building could not be moved away from it.There is a record of The new site is located at the foot of Gwangju Park, 22-3 Nam-gu Drive, where the site is located. It was the 19th year of King Seongjong's reign that he achieved.
When he builds a Confucian school, he robs his private property to buy land, and adds books and building materials. The citizens of Gwangju are impressed and so do I. The reason was that the Gwangju Hyanggyo could be completed in a few months. However, during the oil refinery crisis in 1597, it was burnt down by the Japanese army. It was rebuilt in 1600, but another fire broke out in 1841, burning Myeongnyundang, Dongjae and Seojae. Cho Cheol-young, a voice of understanding, is rebuilt, and many repairs and reconstruction have been completed, making him what he is today.
I wonder what kind of buildings are there and what functions they have. Before entering Confucian school, I wonder what is possible. Before entering Hyanggyo, the first thing to meet is the hippopotamus and the incinerator. "Hamabi" is a sign of where to get off a horse regardless of its status. It means to give up arrogance and pass with reverence.
On the right side of the entrance to Hyanggyo, there is a memorial stone for the construction and relocation of Hyanggyo and the construction and repair of buildings. The name of this building is Bikgak. Heavy water and heavy dry water inside the memorial hall are important history of navigation.
The outer Sammun, which is labeled '光州鄕校' is the gateway to the outside world of Hyanggyo. On the other hand, it is the school space that is in charge of education. Some of the buildings you can meet in the school space are Myeongdong Cathedral, a dormitory equivalent to a classroom, Dongjae, and Munhwajae, where the former first passer-by and Jin-sa study. Among them, the main building is Myeongnyundang. The Myeongnyundang, which seems to be the home of humanity, is the largest eight-room place where students gathered and gave a question-and-answer class called "gang." Dongjae and Seojae, which are dormitories for teachers, are located on the left and right sides of Myeongnyundang. Dongjae, which means a house in the east, was a dormitory for children in both classes and a dormitory for children in the west. All of them could enter the school, but the place where they lived depends on their status.
The building behind the study is Munhoejae. Moonhijae means a house where people gather to study. It is also called Simajae. It is the place where students who passed the exam used to gather and discuss their studies. Yang Sa-jae, which means a house for nurturing scholars, is also called Yook Young-jae. It was a kind of cram school where 40 gifted students were chosen to prepare for the past exams.
If you go through my third gate, you will come to the shrine, which is the place of my hometown. Therefore, my third gate is the boundary between schools and private parties. There is a separate road to enter Naesanmun, which means three doors inside. According to the law of nature, the sun must enter the east and come out west.
In Jehyang, there is a cathedral, a club, and a study. The main building is a cathedral. The palace of Confucius, in the center of the Great Hall, houses the throne of Confucius, the Anja, the Anja, and the Prince and the Blind in the west. In addition, Confucius' ten disciples, including Seolchong, Choi Chi-won, Anhyang, Yi Hwang and Yi Yi, are also holding the memorial tablets of Seonghyeon 18 in Korea. There is still a memorial service called Seokjeonje on the day of the second lunar month and the introduction of the lunar month. Dongmu and Seomu are low-class buildings compared to Daeseongjeon, meaning hwarangchae in the east and west. Before 1951, Korea's 18 prefectures were enshrined. However, in 1951, Sungkyunkwan decided, "The idea of Korean Confucian scholars in Dongmu and Seomu, which are low-level places, is a four-way idea." That's how the memorial tablets are transferred to the Great Hall of Confucius.
The Gwangju Hyanggyo Bridge, founded today by Kwon Su-pyeong, stands tall despite the Japanese Invasion of Korea and several hwa-ma-ri. It is the archetype of Gwangju culture. However, the Gwangju Hyanggyo lost one purpose after its school function was removed due to a lack of modern education. Perhaps that's why Gwangju Hyanggyo is so lonely. Through this, I would like to ask if it is possible to revive the lost culture of South Korea through a memorial service for Seonhyeon, a traditional wedding ceremony, an adult ceremony and a reinterpretation of the Confucian tradition.
