공공 사역

저는 가가호호 전도, 버스 사역, 교도소 사역, 요양원 사역, 지역 교회에서의 특별 행사 일요일을 포함한 다양한 형태의 전도를 전적으로 지지합니다. 이러한 노력은 복음을 전파하고 도움이 필요한 사람들에게 다가가는 데 칭찬할 만하고 필수적입니다.

그러나 저는 야외 전도가 전도에서 간과해서는 안 될 독특하고 중요한 위치를 차지한다고 믿습니다. 야외 전도는 성경에 언급된 가장 오래된 전도 방법으로, 아담(창세기 3장)과 노아(창세기 6장) 시대로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 그것은 하나님의 진리를 많은 청중에게 빠르고 효율적으로 전달하는 가장 효과적인 방법으로 두드러집니다.

성경에 나오는 모든 설교자와 선지자는 야외 전도에 참여했으며, 이것이 하나님께서 그분의 종들이 그분의 진리를 전파하는 데 선택하신 선호하는 방법임을 보여주었습니다. 주님께서 직접 세우신 방법을 존중하고 따르는 것이 중요합니다.

거리 사역에 참여하는 것은 참여하는 사람들에게 수많은 혜택을 제공합니다. 그것은 설교 능력을 강화하고, 성경 암기력을 향상시키며, 개인이 자신의 믿음을 명확하게 표현하도록 도전합니다. 가장 중요한 것은 예수 그리스도에 대한 사랑을 공개적으로 보여주고 그분을 부끄럽게 여기지 않는다는 것을 보여줄 기회를 제공한다는 것입니다.

이러한 형태의 사역은 교회를 세우거나, 관계를 형성하거나, 심지어 "혼을 직접 얻는 것"에 관한 것이 아닙니다. 대신, 그것은 잃어버린 세상 앞에 진실을 제시하고 개인이 그것으로 무엇을 할지 결정하게 하고, 결과는 그들과 하나님 사이에 맡기는 것입니다.

요약하자면, 저는 모든 전도 활동에 박수를 보내지만, 야외 설교는 복음을 전파하는 데 대체할 수 없고 매우 효과적인 방법이라고 믿습니다. 그것은 성경적 선례와 일치하며 설교자와 청중 모두에게 독특한 이점을 제공합니다. 사역에 헌신하는 모든 사람은 신앙을 키우고 세상에 하나님의 진리를 전파하라는 소명을 이루기 위해 어떤 형태의 거리 사역에 참여하는 것을 고려해야 합니다.

8:1	지혜가 부르짖지 아니하느냐? 명철이 그 음성을 높이지 아니하느냐?	Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
8:2	그녀가 높은 곳 꼭대기에, 길 네거리에 서서	She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

I fully support various forms of outreach, including door-to-door witnessing, bus ministries, prison ministries, nursing home ministries, and special event Sundays at local churches. These efforts are commendable and essential for spreading the Gospel and reaching those in need.

However, I believe that open-air preaching holds a unique and vital place in evangelism that should not be overlooked. Open-air preaching is the oldest method of outreach mentioned in the Bible, dating back to the times of Adam (Genesis 3) and Noah (Genesis 6). It stands out as the most effective way to communicate God's truth to a large audience quickly and efficiently.

Every preacher and prophet in Scripture engaged in open-air preaching, demonstrating that this was the preferred method God chose for His servants to propagate His truth. It is important to respect and follow the methods that the Lord Himself established.

Engaging in street ministry offers numerous benefits for those who partake. It enhances one's ability to preach, improves scripture memorization, and challenges individuals to clearly articulate their beliefs. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to publicly demonstrate one's love for Jesus Christ and to show that they are not ashamed of Him.

This form of ministry is not about building churches, forming relationships, or even "winning souls" directly. Instead, it is about placing the truth in front of a lost world and allowing individuals to decide what to do with it, leaving the outcome between them and God.

In summary, while I applaud all outreach efforts, I believe that open-air preaching is an irreplaceable and highly effective method of spreading the Gospel. It aligns with biblical precedent and offers unique benefits to both the preacher and the audience. Every man dedicated to ministry should consider engaging in some form of street ministry to grow in their faith and fulfill their calling to spread God's truth with the world.
