20. Our final mission!
“For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)
In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, he created man last. The last man to be created enjoyed all of creation, but on the other hand, he was given the highest mission, ‘the glory of God!’ Enjoying all that is important and the mission of showing God’s glory were things that were overflowing with joy and gratitude. And as a result, God placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the garden to see man’s obedience. However, man enjoyed all of creation and even that was not enough, so he tried to enjoy what God had forbidden. Because of that, he incurred God’s wrath and was punished as a result. However, this punishment did not mean cutting off everything. Rather, God gave man, who had been punished and driven out of the garden, another opportunity and a warning, which was language.
Because of the language given by God, human civilization and culture not only developed exponentially, but sometimes fell into a deep swamp where they could not help but be punished again. However, what is thankful is that even in such times, human language was passed down to future generations through God’s people, and it was given as an important tool that could unite all races, nations, and countries on this earth in the last days. Although it took a long time to do so, letters were created so that language could be recorded, and those letters continued to advance and develop several times until today. Just as this first language has changed and developed in various ways and has continued to this day, letters that contain those words were created and used in each era, and these letters have gradually changed and developed from the first letters. Among the letters that currently exist, the most recently created letter is Hangul. The fact that it was created recently means that it is a letter that contains diversity that takes everything into consideration, that is, it was created scientifically. Perhaps for this reason, Hangul is an easy and convenient letter to use in every way. This Korean alphabet started from the language given by God, and the basic letters that recorded that language grew and developed until it has reached today. So why did God give us such a good letter? The reason is that we have a mission to fulfill in the last days.
Now, many Koreans are living among the nations of the world. Among them, there are those with a special sense of mission who are taking on this task. This is not just their work, but a mission that all of us who have been chosen must carry out together. Furthermore, if Hangul accompanies the work of spreading the gospel that was passed down through language and commandments from God through creation, it cannot but be quite meaningful. The places where the gospel is spread through the Korean language will increase day by day.
