God is goodness 하나님께서는 선 그 자체이시다

The good is uncreated;

it never could have been otherwise;

it has no shadow of contingency;

it lies, as Plato said, on the other side of existence.

* 완료시제+수동태 have+been+pp ; have been (uncreated)

* 명사 부정으로 된 부정문 no shadow (한글엔 없는 표현이기에 동사부정으로 의역함)

It is the Rita of the Hindus //by which the gods themselves are divine,

the Tao of the Chinese //from which all realities proceed.

* Rita in Hinduism symbolizes the cosmic order and truth governing existence.

But we, favoured beyond the wisest pagans, know () [what lies beyond existence], [what admits no contingency],

[what lends divinity to all else], [what is the ground of all existence], is not simply a law

but also a begetting love, a love /begotten,

and the love //which, being between these two, is also imminent in all those //who are caught up

/to share the unity of their self-cause life.

God is not merely good, but goodness; goodness is not merely divine, but God.

해석

The good is uncreated;

선은 창조되지 않았다
it never could have been otherwise; 
선은 달리 창조될 수가 결코 없다

it has no shadow of contingency; 
선은 우연성의 그림자도 없다

it lies, as Plato said, on the other side of existence. 
선은, 플라톤이 말했던 것처럼, 존재영역의 다른 쪽/반대쪽에 놓여있다

선은 힌두교의 Rita인데 그것에 의해서 신들 자신이 신성하게 된다

* 리타는 힌두교에서 믿는 우주의 질서, 진리, 윤리를 의미하나 예수님은 진리, 선 그 자체이신 성자 하나님이시다

the Tao of the Chinese from which all realities proceed. 
그건 중국의 Tao 도/道/진리인데 그것으로부터 모든 현실이 진행되어 간다

* 중국의 도(道)는 천지만물에 선행되어 존재하며 만물들을 창조해 내는 근원이며, 우주를 지배하는 대조화의 이치,

진리(眞理)라 하는데 기독교 진리는 법도 이치도 아닌 하나님 자신이시기에 ' 나는 길, 진리, 생명'이라 하시는 거며

'빛이 있으라'하시니 말씀하신 대로 되기에 진리이시며 '생육하고 번성하라'고 말씀하신 건 생명 자체이신 때문이다

But we, favoured beyond the wisest pagans,

그러나 우리는, 가장 현명한 이교도를 훨씬 능가하게 호의를 받고 있는데 (기독인은 자연숭배자와는 차원이 다르다)

 know (that) [what lies beyond existence], [what admits no contingency], 
존재영역 건너편에 놓여 있는 그것, 우연성을 인정하지 않는 그것
[what lends divinity to all else], [what is the ground of all existence], is not simply a law 
다른 모든 것에게 신성을 부여하는 그것, 모든 존재들의 기초가 되는 그것이 간단한 법/이치가 아니다는 걸 알지만
but also a begetting love, a love /begotten,  and the love //which, being between these two,

그러나 또한 생성되는 사랑, 생성된 사랑과, 두 사랑 사이에 존재하는 그 사랑이 

 is also imminent in all those //who are caught up /to share the unity of their self-cause life. 
역시 그들 모두에게 근접해 있는데 그들은 자기들 스스로 유발한 통합된 삶을 나누기 위해 사로잡힌 사람들이다

* 하나님께서는 사랑이시기에 사랑을 생성하셔서 인간을 사랑하실 수 있으시며 그 사랑으로 하나 되게 만드신다

God is not merely good, but goodness; goodness is not merely divine, but God.
하나님께서는 단순히 좋으신 분이 아니시고 선 그 자체이시며 선은 단순한 신성이 이니고 하나님 자신이시다

* 하나님께서 선 그 자체이시기에 인간이 선한 삶을 살면 그 사람을 통해서 하나님께서 사시는 것인데

반대로 악한 삶을 살면 그 사람을 통해서 타락한 천사인 마귀가 사는 것이라 하나님을 적대하는 것이다
