Bible Reading - James 5:1~10

5:1 Now listen, you rich people, 이제 부자들이여, 들으라.

weep(울다) and wail(울부짖다) because of the misery(비참함) that is coming upon you.

너희 위에 임할 비참함 때문에 울고 통곡하라.

5:2 Your wealth has rotted(썩다), and moths(좀) have eaten your clothes.

너희의 부는 썩었고 좀이 너희의 옷들을 먹어버렸다.

5:3 Your gold and silver are corroded(부식되다). 너희의 은금은 부식되었다.

Their corrosion(부식됨) will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire.

그들의 부식됨이 너희를 고발하고 불처럼 너희의 살을 먹을 것이다.

 You have hoarded(쌓아두다,축적하다) wealth in the last days.

너희들은 마지막 날들에 부를 축적해 왔다.

5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed(풀을 깎다) your fields are crying out against you.

보라, 너의 밭의 풀을 깎은 일꾼들에게 지불하지 않은 품삯이 너희를 향해 울부짖고 있다.

The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.

추수꾼들의 부르짖음이 전능하신 주님의 귀에 도달했다.

5:5 You have lived on earth in luxury(사치스럽게) and self-indulgence(자기 방종).

너희는 이 세상에서 사치와 방종 속에 살았다.

You have fattened(살찌다) yourselves in the day of slaughter. 너희는 도살의 날에 너 자신들을 살찌웠다.

5:6 You have condemned and murdered innocent men, who were not opposing you.

너희는 너희를 반대하지 않았던 결백한 사람들을 정죄하고 죽였다.

5:7 Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. 그러면 형제들아, 주님께서 다시 오시기까지 인내하라.

See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.

농부가 땅에서 귀한 농작물이 나오기를 얼마나 기다리는지, 그리고 가을과 봄비를 얼마나 인내심 있게 기다리는지 보라.

5:8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.

너희도, 인내하고 굳게 서라. 왜냐하면 주님의 오심이 가까이왔기 때문이다. 

5:9 Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged.

형제들아, 서로에 대해 불평하지 말라, 그렇지 않으면 너희가 정죄받을 것이다. 

The Judge is standing at the door! 심판자가 문에 서 계시는 중이다. 

5:10 Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering,

형제 여러분, 고난 속에서도 인내심을 보이는 본보기로서,

take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

주님의 이름으로 말씀하신 선지자들을 보라(취하라).
