고린도전서 15:14-15

그리스도께서 만일 다시 살지 못하셨으면 우리의 전파하는 것도 헛것이요 또 너희 믿음도 헛것이며 또 우리가 하나님의 거짓 증인으로 발견되리니 우리가 하나님이 그리스도를 다시 살리셨다고 증거하였음이라 만일 죽은 자가 다시 사는 것이 없으면 하나님이 그리스도를 다시 살리시지 아니하셨으리라

만약 그리스도께서 죽으셨다가 부활하지 않으셨다면 우리의 믿음은 헛것이 되고, 우리가 전파하는 복음도 거짓이 됩니다. 복음의 핵심은 예수님께서 인류의 죄를 대신하여 죽으시고 부활하심으로써, 죄와 저주와 영원한 멸망에서 인류를 구원하셨다는 기쁜 소식입니다.

만일 예수님께서 인류를 위해 죽으셨으나 부활하지 못하셨다면 하나님의 구원 계획은 실패로 끝났을 것입니다. 그러나 예수 그리스도께서는 분명히 우리의 죄를 대신하여 죽으셨고 다시 살아나셨습니다. 그러므로 예수님을 믿고 회개하며 끝까지 주님의 말씀을 따라가는 자들은 죄 사함을 받고, 육체의 삶을 마칠 때 부활의 새 몸을 입고 천국에 들어가 영원히 살게 됩니다.

하나님은 전능하시기 때문에 모든 것을 창조하시고 다스리십니다. 하나님께서는 인간을 지으셨고 영원히 살도록 하셨습니다. 그러나 인간이 죄를 지으면 반드시 죽게 된다고 말씀하셨습니다. 이것은 하나님의 말씀이며 결코 변할 수 없습니다. 하나님께서 전능하시다고 해서 죄의 대가로 죽게 된 인간을 아무런 대가 없이 무조건 살려 주시는 것은 아닙니다.

하나님의 공의는 상황에 따라 변하지 않습니다. 그러나 하나님의 사랑이 멸망할 인간을 구원하셨습니다. 그 사랑은 하나님께서 인간의 죄를 대신하여 죽으시고, 인간을 영원한 멸망에서 구원하시는 것으로 나타났습니다. 인간이 해야 할 것은 자신의 죄를 회개하고 다시 주님의 말씀으로 돌아오는 것입니다.

사람들이 하나님의 나라와 의를 이루기 위해 죄를 버리고 주님의 말씀에 순종하며 살려고 힘쓸 때, 주님께서는 부족한 자들을 긍휼히 여기시고 용서하시며 끝까지 천국으로 인도하십니다.

그러나 교회에 다니면서도 계속 죄 가운데 살며 회개하지 않는 자들은 결국 멸망하게 됩니다. 이러한 삶은 자신을 위해 죽으시고 부활하신 주님의 은혜와 공로를 헛되게 하는 것입니다. 예수님의 죽으심과 부활을 참으로 믿는다면 죄를 회개하고 주님의 말씀에 순종하는 삶으로 그 믿음을 나타내야 합니다.

1 Corinthians 15:14–15

And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised.

If Christ had died but had not risen from the dead, our faith would be in vain, and the gospel we preach would also be false. The heart of the gospel is the good news that Jesus died in the place of humanity for our sins and rose again, thereby saving mankind from sin, the curse, and eternal destruction.

If Jesus had died for mankind but had not risen again, God’s plan of salvation would have ended in failure. But Jesus Christ truly died in our place for our sins and rose again. Therefore, those who believe in Jesus, repent of their sins, and follow the Lord’s Word faithfully to the end will receive forgiveness of sins, and when their earthly lives come to an end, they will receive new resurrected bodies, enter the kingdom of heaven, and live forever.

Because God is almighty, He created all things and rules over them. God created human beings and intended them to live forever. However, He declared that if human beings sin, they must surely die. This is the Word of God, and it can never be changed. Although God is almighty, this does not mean that He simply gives life without any cost to those who became subject to death because of sin.

God’s justice does not change according to circumstances. Yet God’s love has saved mankind from destruction. That love was revealed when God died in the place of mankind for human sin and saved humanity from eternal destruction. What human beings must do is repent of their sins and return to the Word of the Lord.

When people strive to forsake sin, obey the Lord’s Word, and live for the kingdom of God and His righteousness, the Lord has mercy on those who are weak and imperfect, forgives them, and leads them faithfully to the kingdom of heaven to the end.

However, those who attend church but continue to live in sin without repentance will ultimately perish. Such a life makes the grace and sacrifice of the Lord, who died and rose again for them, of no effect in their lives. If we truly believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, we must demonstrate that faith by repenting of our sins and living in obedience to the Word of the Lord.
