S: Um,/ I have a couple of questions about housing./ You see, I'm going to be choosing a dorm for next year,/ and I'd like to find out about some of the, uh,/ amenities in each of the dorms if you don't mind.
E: Mind?/ Of course not./ It's my job./ And we get lots of students in here asking about the differences between the various dorms./ So fire away with your questions.
S: Wow,/ that's great to hear./ Okay,/ well,/ I'm going to be a junior, so I guess that puts me in line for a decent dorm room, right?
E: You're right about that./ Actually, juniors and seniors have the option of getting a single in a dorm as opposed to living in a double./ Now, the price is a little higher./ About... hmm,/ maybe six or seven hundred dollars a semester higher./ Is that out of your price range,/ or should we keep discussing singles?
S: That's a good question./ I'll have to talk to my parents about that./ Why don't you tell me a little more so that I can be prepared when I speak with them?
E: Good thinking./ It's always best to be prepared./ All right,/ so let's forget about doubles/ and talk about singles for a second./ Now,/ every dorm has singles./ Of course,/ some have more than others./ Personally,/ I think that Branson Hall has the best singles on campus./ They're bigger than all the others,/ and Branson is a pretty new dorm.../ just a couple of years old,/ so it has the best,/ most modern facilities on campus.
S: Cool,/ I never realize that./
E: Unfortunately,/ seniors,/ since they get first choice,/ usually snap up/ all the singles there as quickly as possible./ I'd say that you only have a,/ say,/ ten percent chance of getting into one of those singles./ It's a small chance,/ but a change nontheless.
S: Oh,/ that's too bad./ Well,/ what dorms do most juniors typically stay in?
E: A very astute question./ There are two of them./ The first is West Hall,/ and the second is Henderson House./ Oh,/ make that three./ I forgot about Patterson House./ Anyway,/ those three are always full of juniors.
S: What makes them so special?
E: Location, location, location./ They are all near the Quad,/ so they are within a five-minute walk of most of the key buildings on campus./ Talk about some great places to be when you wake up then minutes before your fist class of the day begins.
S: Tell me about it./ I could have used that today.
E: Oh yeah?/ Well then you ought to consider seriously one of these places.
S: Great./ Can you go into the details of each a little more?
E: Sure,/ let me tell you about them./ You know, you might want to write this down to make sure that you don't forget anything.
S: Yeah, that's a good point./ Let me grab a pen and paper from my bag./ Hold on a sec,/ please.

이번에는 노트테이킹이 아주 성공적으로 진행되어 기쁩니다,,,
예전에는 괜히 글자의 앞 이니셜 한 글자만 썼다가 나중에 까먹으면 어쩌지 하는 불안으로 스펠링 더 쓰다가 강의를 놓치는 경우가 있었는데, 이번에는 노트테이킹에 끌려가지 않았던 점이 좋았습니다...
다만 I could have used that today가 안 들려서 26번에서 조금 힘들었지만,
C는 the Quad에서 사는 것이 아니므로 X
A는 change하겠다는 것도 아니므로 X
D는 가능성있게 생각했지만,, 제가 그리고 today정도는 들어서 B가 답이지 않을까 생각했습니다..
그리 어려운 문장은 아닌데 왜 제대로 듣지 못했을까요.....^^
24번도 A B 사이에서 조금 고민했지만 당장 reserve하겠다는 뜻은 아니므로 B로 했습니다,.
