고린도전서 15:51-54 보라, 내가 너희에게 비밀을 말하노니 우리가 다 잠잘 것이 아니요, 마지막 나팔에 순식간에 홀연히 다 변화하리니, 나팔 소리가 나매 죽은 자들이 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살고 우리도 변화하리라. 이 썩을 것이 반드시 썩지 아니할 것을 입겠고, 이 죽을 것이 죽지 아니함을 입으리로다. 이 썩을 것이 썩지 아니함을 입고 이 죽을 것이 죽지 아니함을 입을 때에는 “사망이 이김에 삼킨 바 되리라”고 기록된 말씀이 응하리라.

주님께서 다시 오실 때 이 세상의 역사는 끝납니다. 그때 살아 있는 자들 가운데 회개와 순종의 삶을 사는 하나님의 백성들은 순식간에 변화되어 천국으로 올라갑니다. 썩을 육체를 벗고 영원히 썩지 않는 부활의 몸을 입는 것입니다. 세상에 속한 육체로는 천국에 들어갈 수 없습니다.

장차 우리가 어떻게 변화될 것인지 보여 주는 사건들이 성경에 기록되어 있습니다. 그 대표적인 예가 에녹과 엘리야입니다. 그들은 죽음을 맛보지 않고 살아 있는 상태에서 갑자기 변화되어 천국으로 올라갔습니다. 이 세상에 속한 몸이 순식간에 썩지 않는 몸으로 변화된 것입니다. 그러므로 그들의 옛 육체는 세상에 남지 않았습니다. 예수님께서도 부활하실 때 옛 육체를 무덤에 남기지 않으셨습니다.

열왕기하 2:16-18

선지자의 제자 오십 명이 엘리야를 찾으러 가서 사흘 동안 찾았으나 발견하지 못했습니다.

엘리야가 승천한 후 선지자의 제자들은 사흘 동안 그의 몸을 찾았지만 발견하지 못했습니다. 이는 엘리야의 몸이 그대로 변화되어 천국으로 올라갔기 때문입니다. 이 사건은 장차 주님께서 다시 오실 때 일어날 일을 미리 보여 줍니다. 그러나 지금은 사람이 죽을 때 옛 육체를 세상에 남깁니다. 구원받은 영혼은 육체에서 나와 썩지 않는 몸을 입고 천국에 들어갑니다.

현재 천국에 들어가 있는 자들은 주님께서 다시 오실 때 주님과 함께 세상에 옵니다. 예수님께서 다시 오시는 목적은 살아 있는 자들 가운데 구원받은 자들을 데려가시기 위함입니다. 주님께서는 지상에 내려오지 않으시고 공중에 임하셔서 그들을 영접하시고 천국으로 데려가십니다. 그 후 이 세상은 즉시 불바다로 변하고 영원한 지옥이 시작됩니다.

고린도전서 15:57-58

우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리에게 이김을 주시는 하나님께 감사하노니, 그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견고하며 흔들리지 말며 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라. 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄을 앎이니라.

천국에 들어가는 믿음은 견고하여 흔들리지 않는 믿음입니다. 이러한 믿음을 가진 자들은 항상 주님의 일에 힘씁니다. 주님의 일은 주님의 말씀에 순종하며 자신의 불순종을 회개하는 것입니다. 또한 항상 이웃을 용서하고 선한 일에 힘쓰며 모든 악을 버리는 것입니다. 이러한 수고는 결코 헛되지 않다. 끝까지 회개하고 순종 하는 믿음을 가진 자들만이 천국에 들어가기 때문이다.

Behold, I tell you a mystery: Not all of us shall sleep, but all of us shall be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye—at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body shall put on incorruptibility, and this mortal body shall put on immortality. When this perishable body puts on incorruptibility and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying which is written shall be fulfilled: “Death shall be swallowed up in victory.”

At that time, among the living, God’s people who live lives of repentance and obedience will be changed in an instant and ascend to Heaven. They will shed their perishable bodies and put on resurrected bodies that will never perish. One cannot enter Heaven with a body belonging to the world.

Events that show how we will be changed in the future are recorded in the Bible. Representative examples are Enoch and Elijah. They did not taste death but were suddenly transformed while still alive and ascended to Heaven. Their bodies belonging to this world were instantly transformed into incorruptible bodies. Therefore, their old bodies did not remain in the world. Jesus also did not leave his old body in the tomb when he resurrected.

2 Kings 2:16-18

Fifty disciples of the prophet went to look for Elijah and searched for him for three days, but they could not find him.

After Elijah ascended to Heaven, the prophet's disciples searched for his body for three days but could not find it. This is because Elijah's body was transformed exactly as it was and ascended to Heaven. This event foreshadows what will happen when the Lord returns. However, currently, when a person dies, the old body is left behind in the world. The saved soul emerges from the body, puts on an incorruptible body, and enters Heaven.

Those who are currently in Heaven will come to the world with the Lord when He returns. The purpose of Jesus' return is to take those who are saved from among the living. The Lord will not descend to the earth but will come in the air to receive them and take them to Heaven. After that, this world immediately turns into a sea of ​​fire, and eternal hell begins.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

The faith that enters the Kingdom of Heaven is a steadfast and unshakeable faith. Those who possess such faith always strive in the Lord's work. The Lord's work is to obey His word and repent of one's own disobedience. It also involves always forgiving one's neighbors, striving for good works, and forsaking all evil. Such labor is never in vain. This is because only those who possess faith that repents and obeys to the very end will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Afterward, this world will immediately turn into a sea of ​​fire, and eternal hell will begin.
