고린도후서 3:1-5

우리가 다시 자천하기를 시작하겠느냐 우리가 어찌 어떤 사람처럼 천거서를 너희에게 부치거나 혹 너희에게 맡거나 할 필요가 있느냐 너희가 우리의 편지라 우리 마음에 썼고 뭇사람이 알고 읽는바라 너희는 우리로 말미암아 나타난 그리스도의 편지니 이는 먹으로 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 한 것이며 또 돌비에 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 육의 심비에 한 것이라 우리가 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님을 향하여 이같은 확신이 있으니 우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 생각하여 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님께로서 났느니라

그리스도의 복음을 전파하는 자들은 사람들에게 인정받고 자신을 돋보이게 하기 위해 자천서를 쓸 필요가 없습니다. 높은 학력이나 많은 지식, 세상의 권세를 통해 복음이 전파되는 것이 아닙니다. 오직 성령의 능력과 인도하심을 따라 순종하는 자들을 통해 생명의 복음이 전파되는 것입니다.

그리스도의 복음을 듣고 회개하며 순종하는 자들은 예수의 피와 성령의 능력으로 구원을 받습니다. 인간의 지혜와 지식이 사람을 구원하는 것이 아닙니다. 예수를 믿고 그 말씀에 순종하는 자들은 하나님의 뜻을 삶 가운데 그대로 이루어 갑니다. 이것은 보이지 않는 하나님을 사람들에게 보여주는 증거이며, 하나님께서 살아 계심을 증명하는 편지인 것입니다.

하나님의 편지는 먹으로 쓰는 것이 아닙니다. 성령의 역사하심으로 마음에 쓰는 것입니다. 이것은 돌비에 기록된 율법처럼 외적인 모습에 초점을 맞추는 형식적인 신앙을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 성령의 능력으로 마음이 변화되고, 그 변화가 실제 삶을 통해 나타나는 것입니다. 이것이 살아 있는 믿음입니다.

그리스도인들은 세상의 것으로 만족하는 자들이 아닙니다. 오직 하나님께로부터 오는 은혜와 구원으로 만족하는 것입니다. 우리의 자랑은 오직 예수 그리스도뿐입니다. 인간을 자랑하고 높이는 것은 사람을 우상으로 섬기는 것과 같습니다. 죄와 멸망에서 우리를 구원하시는 분은 오직 예수님이십니다. 구원에 이르는 길은 우상을 버리고 예수님의 말씀에 순종하며, 죄를 지을 때마다 회개하여 용서받는 것입니다.

성경 전체가 이것을 말씀하고 있습니다. 그러므로 인간의 생각을 성경 말씀에 더해서는 안 됩니다. 오직 하나님 한 분만이 구원자이십니다. 사탄도 하나님이 한 분의 구원자인 것을 잘 안다. 그러나 사탄은 주님의 말씀에 순종하지 않으며 자신의 죄를 회개하지 않는다. 하나님을 믿는다고 하면서도 하나님의 말씀에 불순종하고 회개하지 않는 자들은 결국 사탄의 믿음과 같은 수준인 것이다.

2 Corinthians 3:1-5

Shall we begin to commend ourselves again? Do we need to send you letters of recommendation, or entrust them to you, as some do? You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all. You are a letter from Christ, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. Since we have this conviction in God through Christ, we should not be satisfied with ourselves, thinking that anything is of our own; for our satisfaction comes from God.

* Those who preach the gospel of Christ do not need to write letters of recommendation to gain recognition from people or to make themselves stand out. The gospel is not spread through high academic qualifications, extensive knowledge, or worldly authority. The gospel of life is preached only through those who obey according to the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Those who hear the gospel of Christ, repent, and obey receive salvation through the blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. Human wisdom and knowledge do not save people. Those who believe in Jesus and obey His word fulfill God's will exactly as it is in their lives. This is evidence that reveals the invisible God to people, and it is a letter proving that God is alive.

God's letter is not written with ink. It is written on the heart through the working of the Holy Spirit. This does not refer to a formal faith that focuses on external appearances, like the law inscribed on stone tablets. It is a transformation of the heart through the power of the Holy Spirit, and that transformation manifests through actual life. This is living faith.

Christians are not those who are satisfied with worldly things. They are satisfied only with the grace and salvation that come from God. Our only boast is Jesus Christ. To boast of and exalt human beings is like serving them as idols. The one who saves us from sin and destruction is Jesus alone. The path to salvation is to cast away idols, obey the words of Jesus, and repent and receive forgiveness whenever we sin.

The entire Bible speaks of this. Therefore, human thoughts must not be added to the words of Scripture. Only God alone is the Savior. Even Satan knows well that God is the one Savior. However, Satan does not obey the Lord's word and does not repent of his sins. Those who claim to believe in God yet disobey His word and do not repent are ultimately at the same level as Satan's faith.
