The Reason We Must Cross the Jordan(Joshua 3:1~13)

  After Moses died, Joshua became the leader. After 40 years passed, a new generation arose. Now they had to go into the land of Canaan. At this time, the first command God gave was to cross the Jordan. This was a challenge they had to take on which was absolutely impossible. God also told them to follow the Ar k of the Covenant. Inside the ark were the Word of life, manna, and Aaron’s budded staff. You also need to find the stream of the Word, the stream of prayer, the stream of evangelism, and the spiritual stream of the field on Sundays. Moreover, the prayer that seeks the stream regarding one nation must begin. There was something even more important left for the Israelites. It was preparing for the posterity to go forth holding onto their God-given covenant. You too must know the absolute reason why they had to cross the Jordan. They had to prepare so the next generation would hold onto the covenant God had given. You must know the absolute reason why you must cross the Jordan.

1. Experience the Power of God
  You must experience God’s power as you challenge towards what’s impossible. God told them to follow the Ark of the Covenant. This meant for them to experience the power that was shown through the manna and quail during near-death situations, the works of life that occurred during the time of worship, and for them to experience the Three Feasts.

2. Confirm‎ the Covenant
  You must confirm‎ the covenant God gave to Moses on Mt. Horeb and how He fulfilled it. Moreover, you must also experience the works of the Holy Spirit that led them to the Red Sea after breaking down the forces of darkness in Egypt. You must remember the fact that at that time the Israelites crossed the Red Sea while every Egyptian soldier was drowned.

3. Hold onto the Evidence of the Accurate Word
  You must hold onto the evidence of the Word and its fulfillment that God has given to you. This Word was relayed to the 7 tribes. When you overcome the difficulties that come to you, the forces of darkness crumble down and Satan is bound. The hardships in the wilderness became evidence and caused the hearts of the unbelievers in Jericho to melt. Taking possession of the land of Canaan is God’s absolute plan.

  You too must also hold onto the covenant of *300% in the face of hardships, impossible situations, problems, conflicts, and crises, and challenge towards them. The parting of the Jordan River wasn’t a miracle for God because nothing is impossible for God.

(1) The 100% promise that God will be with you

(2) The 100% promise that God will resolve all things while on the path of the wilderness

(3) The 100% promise that world evangelization will take place after entering the land of Canaan
