Dear: Director Marin Scorsese

It is regretful to inform that your masterpiece "Shutter Island" was brutely defaced by means of blurring barbarism in Korea, by such a PP and related authorities.

Owing to marvelous directing, editing and writing of the Shutter Ireland, specifically owing to great master of these times, reverent director Marin Scorsese, the movie deserves to be called a great work enough to be everlasting applause.

However, awkward application of the vague code of so called broadcasting regulation by Korea Communications Standard Commission, right of not only viewers to appreciate the untouched original work, but also the creator keep the originality of the precious artwork, has been deprived.

I would like ask, therefore, staffs and crews, and the Paramount Picture whether the vague regulations are rightfully applied in Korea. Does your movie contain unnecessary scenes-such as smoking-that should be blurred and defaced in the context?

The regulation says, some of the disgusting, shocking and distressing scenes are not to be broadcasted, however, INEVITABLE CASES ARE ALLOWED but extreme care should be taken.

Therefor, polite inquiry is submitted. Does your movie violate the standard of Korea Communications Standard Commission and deserves to be defaced? It not agree, censure the INDIFilM Korea and related authorities, is right.
