낙수효과(落水效果) 또는 트리클다운 이코노믹(영어: trickle-down economics)는 대기업, 재벌, 고소득층 등 선도 부문의 성과가 늘어나면, 연관 산업을 이용해 후발·낙후 부문에 유입되는 효과를 의미한다.


분수 효과(噴水效果)는 낙수효과의 정 반대버전이라고 생각하면 이해하기 쉽다. 즉 낙수 효과가 대기업의 적극적인 투자활동으로 경제 전체에 이득이 돌아가는걸 주장한다면, 분수 효과는 소비계층의 소비 활성화를 통해 경제 전체에 이득이 돌아가는 경우를 설명하는 효과이다

낙수효과(trickle-down effect)는 물이 위에서 아래로 떨어지듯이 대기업이 성장하면 대기업과 연관된 중소기업이 성장하고 새로운 일자리도 많이 창출되어 서민 경제도 좋아지는 것. 낙수 효과가 약해지면 소득 양극화는 더욱 심해지고 내수 산업의 불황으로 이어진다.

분수 효과(trickle-up effect)는 분수에서 물이 아래로부터 위로 솟구치는 것처럼 중산층과 저소득층을 대상으로 세금을 인하하거나 정부 지출을 확대하면 이들의 소득과 소비가 증가하여 경제가 활성화되고 이에 따라 고소득층의 소득도 늘어날 수 있다는 것을 말한다.
